Eunos Cosmo JCESE
Hello everyone!
Decided to tell the story of the revival of my Cosmo.

So, it all started 9-10 years ago. One of my friends knew about the existence of such a car, purchased it for himself, from Japan. Having driven it for a while on runoff car, he decided to put her tuning. One of the stages in the pursuit of greater power-has been the installation of a large intercooler. It is this, as it seems to me, and caused the death of the engine. The work was carried out not professionally! The engine almost immediately began to mope, and when the next check candles, was discovered scale of welding, stuck in the light of the candle. In total, the engine had refused to start.
The engine was removed and sent for repair to one not good person in the other end of the country. The other parts I don't know, but might have forgotten, but the engine never came back...Some time later, my friend moved to live in Nicaragua.

From time to time, knowing that in one of the garages is stored such a device, I began to wonder about his redemption, with the simultaneous collection of information on the machine. But my friend was in no hurry to sell it. But not so long ago, he decided to move to his parents, and finally he sold me Cosmo!

Thus began the history of restoration Cosmo!

Very nice Dennis :) speaking of which I better take mine out before the winter hits here too!

looking forward to the rest of your story~

Аs promised, continued:

Well, I bought what I wanted...and then what?-the whirling in the head. Install the other engine is not considered at all, because I think that Cosmo should be such, what it is...
First I began to search engine, found a couple of options in Canada, but the condition and the mileage was not known. I know only that the resource from the rotary engine is smal and want to first try, without immediately to repair. Given this and the fact that the car stood not a short time and evaluate the status of the other nodes and aggregates is not possible, come to that, what to look for full-fledged donor. And where is the search for him, as not at Home in Japan? :) Found a reliable person, who will be taken for such a task, and began...After a long search, was selected for the title of the donor!

At the auction was bought by the donor-Eunos Cosmo 92" with a run of 58000 kilometers. In Japan, the car was sawed in half,so it was much cheaper bring her here. As she was in such a case goes as part. So, I got a bunch of spare parts for the salvation of the Cosmo. Bonus was the exhaust system Fujitsubo and 18" wheels.

Well, the engine is running, the car moves. But the appearance of leaves much to be desired.

The front bumper, I could not find...where something is missing... Again helped donor.
First, wanted to paint only the face, but as it gradually spread first to the one door, and then at another, and so up to the tip of the tail:)
In total, the machine had to complete the painting. Untouched remained only the roof. Everything else has been subjected to a thorough check and if needed, the repair.

Winter is over! Any updates?

I like those deep-dish multi-spoke wheels...Nice choice for the Cosmo...Are they polished (not chrome)?

Your exhaust looks brand new...Is it?
