ETS Polished

I got my new ETS TMIC installed over this past week end, and I'm really happy with it. I had the old style SU TMIC on there before and the front mounting brackets broke. SU Mark fixed me up with this one, polished it and powder coated the shroud black. It sure looks sweet.
While I had the IC off I also added some Denso ITV22's and the SU Boost tubes.
So, take a look and let me know what you think.

well as you well know from what isaid before...it looks very nice :)..prabaly the best looking tmic on the forums from what ive seen. Im glad im getting my 3.5 in ets tmic here in few days. I wonder how much it would cost me to have a paintshop put a mirror finnish on mine..nevertheless papaspeed, your engine bay is looking pretty dam good :)

pretty simple like any polish job
start from a pretty coarse grit sand paper, try to sand as uniform as possible without too too much pressure
from 400 to 600 to 1000 to 1500 to 2000, i recall throughly sanding about 20 - 30 minutes with the rougher coarser grit and about 10-15 minutes with the finer grit

afterwards just polish with some mothers aluminum/mag polishing cream. by hand is ok but rotary or dual action machine is highly recommended. think i spent about 2/3 hrs on the whole thing, with the newer ets its much easier id imagine with the removable shroud and all.

Wow, that is amazing. 3 hrs of work or 150 bucks? I'll take the 3 hours of work any day. Good to know.

Looks good! If I had the ETS I would def. do it myself. Good time would be to do it on the weekend while watching college football on a Saturday or NFL on Sunday. I must say I love this time of year, football all weekend :)

The Great Carnac is predicting a run on ETS TMICs ;)

Very nice looking. I wish I had polished mine before I installed it. After seeing yours I might do it myself.

Yeah, I really like it polished. I even find myself checking the oil every time I get gas just to get a look at it. lol
I think you could polish it yourself and make it look sweet. The one strytnyne did really looks great. I'm not sure I could have done it, but he sure did a good job.

Looks great! Very appealing. How does the car feel??

The car sure feels like it has more power, but I don't have any proof of that. I added the "revised" Corksport Racepipe at about the same time. So with the two additions, I feel a difference, and it feels good. Sounds good too. lol

What size the one you have there. I might reconsider on what IC to get now. decisions decisions lol

Mine is the 3.25" model. I think you will enjoy any up graded intercooler. Let the engine breath. Allow lots of good cool air in, and lots of combusted air out. Have fun.
