Engine wont start after rebuild

its not the tps and i believe there are only two connectors that are involved with the transmission. im puzzeled as to what it could be.

The only other thing I can think of besides a bad starter would be that the connector is for the starter interlock switch, that lets you start the car when you press down on the clutch. However, it's not clear from my repair manual where exactly it plugs in at, and since I have an automatic, I can't go out and look for you.

what color are the wires for the sensor.....look on the elec schematics....everything is a different color

I'm afraid my schematics are only black and white, and they don't have colors listed. I have uploaded the wiring diagram from m repair manual with the starter interlock switch circled - see if you can make any sense of it :-)

It looks like the switch is wired directly between the starter motor and the ignition circuit, but if the starter motor isn't actually engaging, well...i dunno :-(

its too small i cant read it but the sensor wires are green and white and for the starter i didnt think there was a plug like that on it i have the eyelit for power and the little connector that plugs into a small piece of metal my guess is the ground.

you should be able to magnify the wiring diagram in your browser and you can see it just fine. I'm out of ideas at this point though, so I wish you luck.

that seems about right for the location and everything it actually comes out from the fuse box like it powers something a power and a ground it splits with about 6 inches of wire one is the eyelit my guess ground and the connector. thanx for the help though hopefully if i can figure out how to read those diagrams better id know im retarted when it comes to that stuff.

hey what's your email, i have the elec schematics and it has all the wires labeled for color....tell me the color and i can tell ya....light gray/red line, etc

ok it's in the mail but it is the one for the p5 but the wiring should be the same or at least i would think so

By "AT", I assume you mean "automatic transmission/transaxle". But doesn't
O2pro have a manual tranny in the car? Could it possibly be that shift interlock switch I mentioned before?

i don't know what the ec-at but yeah i guess it is...lemme look on my car see if i see anything

It looks like it's sitting on top of the transaxle on the right side of the engine compartment (looking from the front). There is a slim rod in the upper right corner of his pic that I'm pretty sure is the battery hold-down bar.

yes that is the location and i found that the same thing in the manual. and yes it is a manual gearbox but its right above the transmission next to the battery if you need any more pics i can post them. i dont know if thats actually where it goes thats just where i found it and it only has little room to move so it has to be in there somewhere.

I'm goiing out now to work on it again and take the battery out and look from under the car up under the intake manifold area I'll let you guys know what I find
