I've just started noticing a strong vibration, almost shuddering when applying throttle under 2000 rpm. I don't feel it when engine is reving higher. Car is a 2020 Signature with 88,000 kilometers or about 55,000 miles. What could the cause be?

possibly bad motor mounts
Given the kinds of terrain the car sees, that's not a bad suggestion. But still, on a barely 6-year old car, I'd be disappointed if those were already going.

Other than that, I tend to think of air or spark with issues like this. Things like throttle body cleaning, or new spark plugs.

I noticed a weird vibration at around 2500rpm years ago that went away at higher rpms. it turned out to be a defective oil filter.

My own 2016.5 CX-5 has nearly 135Kmi on it. It has a bit of resonant vibration in the RPM range of ~1700-2000, perhaps a little bit higher.

Conditions:

1. Sitting in "Park" while idling -- If I rev the engine to 1700-2000 RPMs, I feel the vibration. By 2100-2150 or so, it goes away. It's slight, but noticeable.

2. Same revving while driving -- I don't notice it, if I'm driving.

My guess is: engine/transmission mounts. But I'm not certain. It has not been irritating enough for me to worry much about, yet.

I would also check for carbon buildup or fuel injectors slightly clogged up. I would try putting a bottle of chevron techron or similar into the tank and drive for 100 miles and see if it helps... its cheap ;)
