Engine Mount/Motor Mount Part Numbers

I couldn't easily find this information, and I have easy access to it at school- so here are the Mazda part #'s for 2002 P5 engine/motor mounts. Includes info on both manual and automatic transmissions/transaxles.

AUTOMATIC TRANS
Trans- B25E39070D
Front- B25D39050C
Rear- BJ0N39040C
Passenger Side- BJ0N3906YE

MANUAL TRANS
Trans- BL3K39070A
Front- B25D39050C
Rear- BL3K39040
Passenger Side- BL3K3906YA

Does anyone know the cross-compatibility on these mounts? Are they actually different or is it just a number?

The passenger side mounts are different for an automatic and manual transmission.
I remember someone posting a picture of the two.
The rod that reaches to the middle of the mount is a different length.

Passenger side is 100% confirmed different, just like PCB said. Went through a huge hassle a few months back. I am 90% sure there are no aftermarket passenger side mounts for the manual. Going to have to pony up at the dealer most likely.

Funny thing.....the passenger side on my left hand drive USDM 03 P5 is the front of the motor where all the belts and pulleys are and the driver's side is the one with the transmission mount where manual and auto would make a difference. You guys got right hand drive cars or what?

AWR makes a complete set of aftermarket engine mounts for the Protege. You can choose between 3 durometers and it has a lifetime warranty on the welds of the actual mount. This is in regard to the manual transmission Protege's, I've never seen aftermarket mounts for auto's but if you want a more solid mount (and this is for any trans) just use 3M window weld or something similar and fill the stock mounts yourself. Much cheaper and there are some products that will give you a more solid mount. But be aware that there will be excess vibrations primarily at idle.

Yeah, I know what you mean,... it doesn't make sense.

So if anyone is ordering the passenger side engine mount on any website and the site doesn't clarify whether it's for an automatic or manual transmission then stay away.

You might not even know it's the wrong mount until you're trying to install it,... they're that close.

As far as I've heard the other three mounts are interchangeable.

Is yours a manual trans? I'm just curious for compatibility. O'Reilly has compatibility on that part as compatible with the MazdaSpeed Protege, so I'm curious what the difference is...

Mine is a manual tranny.

Sorry...deleted the post that you quoted as I didn't want to mislead people. I did some additional research and ebay sells the same Beck Arnley mount, and some of the parts databases state that the mount will work with the '01 Mazda Protege MP3...which is only MT and the same engine. Weird. Anyways...I'll keep an eye on the mount to see if it lasts. So far so good :)

I will confirm he is correct. That is the part that works, even though Amazon says it does not fit. I cross referenced it to make sure with an older model protege manual that it fits and that is the one. I just had it overnighted along with a lower mount as well.

The pass. mount is definitely different, I bought my AWR pass. mount from a guy who attempted to install it in his auto protege.
