Well I don't know what details you guys want, so here are a few pics to start. Again, the quality isn't that great but I'll get you some better ones this weekend, with daylight.

WOW! Talk about covering up...you can hardly tell there is an engine in there with all of that plastic. The only car I've seen that's worse than that is the newest generation Tiburon.

I see you also got shafted on the hood support. :p I never liked the huge ones that attach in the front. The small one on my car that goes on the side isn't bad, but I eventually want to get some of the pneumatic pistons like on VWs. The only ones I've seen are the Autoexe set on Corksport, but they were $285! There has to be some way to buy them somewhere else & DIY for cheaper than that. This is near the end of my list though, so for now I just deal with it.

Nice pics Dre!

Cool pics. I like the engine bay except for the fact that the exhaust manifold's at the rear...that may be a pain for a custom turbo setup in the future for some. Also if a strut tower brace is on anyone's list, it looks like the airbox may be in the way.

Oh well, it's still a damn nice engine!

omfg!!! damn that fomoco!!!!! what the hell is that plastic intake manifold??? what the hell??? goddamnit! didn't the contour have MAD problems because of the plastic intake manifold? omg. i can't believe this!

Yea, I don't like the prop rod either. And the fact that there is no light inside the engine bay kinda sucks too. But it's alright. The rest of the car compensates.

Where is the turbo??

J/K.

No strut bar either....

No turbo for me. I have my motorcycle to play. This is my daily driver ;)

The strut bar is built-in on the 3. I'll get some close-ups of that setup for you this weekend. It's kinda wierd - from the strut towers, it molds into the top of the firewall. You'll see ...

ouch, plastic intake manifold :( Everything else is covered in plastic too...

I hate how car companies are going to the reverse mounted motors, exhaust mani in the back, intake in the front. Its going to make that car a pain to turbo.

now why its that (reverse engine)? I dont understand it either. It seems everyone is doing it. It is to save money on the exhaust been shorter (dunno). I hate it.

there was a discussion in one of Dre's other threads about the plastic intake manifold, it is actually not a bad thing, alot of higher end vehicles use them because there is a great reduction in heat soak, and technically it isnt plastic, it is a hard compasite material made for engine parts like that, or so I have been told.

The engine looks great and seems like it will benefit well from bolt on mods but I will wait to see some dyno numbers first. I kinda like how it is opposite my engine with the exhaust manifold in the back and intake on the front.
