Emanage Library

warning stupid question alert!!!

there is to much crap in here and im getting confused. Can the Emanage work with the MSP, and if it does, what parts do i need to get it to work and what parts are recommended.

i think this thread needs to be cleaned out a bit.
orangzoom says his ecu is not overriding the emanage's settings. Others on the board have tried but the ecu just ignores the emanage on overrides the settings on the msp. (dunno) So we just need to wait and see, I hope that it does work for orangezoom.

i am pretty sure it would work..but you need the $$$ and the time..to research and test..to make it work!

what the hell is going on w/ this ? mp3skaternc dumped his car and got rid of the emanage, is anyone still working on this ?

I dont' beleive anyone else is actually working on the unit..why..b/c everyone that has tried to install it..has had numerous problems...the only one who supposedly had it runnint was mp3skaternc...but he already sold the emangae..and is selling is ride..

Anyone who is still considering..going with the emange..should really ask themselves do they wanna go w/ the same bulls***..as other to make this thing work..or better yet..pick up the MPI Piggy Back..save themselves time & money...and have a unit that really works..and has been tested on many cars...From WRX's...to Protege's!

You need a way to make it not pull fuel. Thats the magical secret people, get the fm voltage clamp, wire it up right along with the emanage, and wow, it works!

Are you sure this method would work on a 'Speed?

me thinks more people w/ mazda speeds are looking for this unit to work than protege's..i don't believe it will work with the mazda speed..unless there is a way to keep the ecu alwayz powered..so inturn..the changes are never erased!

orangzoom gave me the name of a place in naples, FL that is working on his. i called them last week and they said that they would have all the bugs worked out of the system in two weeks. and i specifically told them i have a mazdaspeed protege. i dont see whats so different between the two ecu's that the mazdaspeed wouldnt like it but a standard protege would. they are the same ecu's with different programs running.

i had the emanage working on my car when it was N/A...

it began pulling fuel after about a week..

i did not have the voltage clamp...

i am going to try the emanage possibly again...

i may just get a standalone ... it all depends on my loan ammount..

I spoke to the guy @ Greddy that was the contact for the prototype work on my car. He said he was going to do some research to see who is making the e-Manage work properly on our cars. However, since most of the experts are probably subscribed to this thread, I figured I would go straigh to the source. Please let us know as soon as you find anything out. Don't try to hide it so you have the only MSP that runs properly. Mine is so annoying, with its stumbling and hesitations (even post-flashed and with a new engine)...I am ready to drive it off the Huntington Beach pier! At any rate, let me know...
How is Ann Arbor treating you dude...haha, I don't miss Michigan weather at all.
I do miss the cool people there though...(headbang)

I got MP3Skaters E-manage. Although I am tuning for NA now. I am going to try without the voltage clamp and see if it works withou it. Then I am going to try with it if it doesnt. I will not start to I have the software and cable and egt guage since that is all I can affor to tune with rite now. And no egt mite not be the best to tune with but they are use to tune airplanes for fuel power and economy, why cant my car.

does anyone have an emanage successfully installed on a Mazdaspeed?? I am having trouble with mine. The mass air voltage is too high when the emanage is connected. This is even with the resistor installed.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

any updates cus some guys say someone, terry? got it to work on a MSP, but I think that they just brought an old thread up from the dead? Any word from Greddy. I really like this unit and would like to run emanage or apexi SAFC2. Dont really want to tap into my wires so if greddy is willing to jump in and make a harness...they have my business. Some thing that clean so dealer wont give me crap. Althought I think I would prefer to use SAFC2...cheaper, popular and more user friendly? Standalone would be way too expensive for me. But I dont mind spending couple hundred on a good piggyback that works. ;)

I also remembered Orangezoom opening a thread about the emanage but forgot how it turned out. CAn anyone just give me a quick update before I search through the millions of thread on Greddy emanage...or I'll try PMing him.

I think we are a no go on piggy-back modules. I have been researching the full stand-alone modules, and unfortunately they seem to be the only option that works properly. Our computer supposedly learns around any adjustments made with a piggy-back. People may have even blown engines with them. Some of the stand-alone modules have a plug-n-play harness that you can just snap out and remove the tuner computer and hook the factory ECU back up if you have to go in to the dealer. Or you could just hide it really well up behind the dash so they won't notice it. I haven't heard back from my contact at Greddy in weeks. I am actually pretty upset, because he owes me an exhaust system for letting him have my car for a day. Also, he was going to hook some of us @ Nissan up with some discounted Greddy items. Perhaps I pushed the limits on that one. I will just keep researching until something works out. Let me know what you find, good luck!

I've got a 93 Pro, and we're gonna run E-Manage. I have the privilage of OBDI, so tuning it won't be so hard. It won't be for a few months though, but I'll let everyone know how it goes.
