Emanage Library

No clue, did you save the maps to the emanage after you exported them? I haven't had a problem with the unit not keeping the maps, or the stock ecu fighting it.
Yeah it could be wiring.
But the car will hold the settings

jeez now i wish i would have kept it for a little longer...

im more than likely gonna get a microtech anyways....

Yes not much luck with the MSP

But it works great on the MP3/PRO5
so would it be possible to get a mp3 ecu on the msp and then install and tune the greddy emanage.....
damnit what do you think is the problem with the msp ecu that doesnt let it keep the map?
less fuel would be great and a little less timing would just top it off.....
id love to get the Greddy Emanage on my msp...love the greddy components (dance)

Terry...Good idea w/ the emanage library..but there really aren't many w/ the emanage on their rides...We need people to get some dyno's to show..that it does indeed work!

Chas

soon enough there will be dynos.

This was just to get the idea for the ems forums started anyway, soon we will have library's for most of the major systems that people are running on the protege.

I understand the whole fuel/timing. Maybe you are saying yes, but can it advance timing or just retard the timing. I guess I should have made it more specific.

im pretty sure it can do both, from the greddy website it says it can control a 16x16 ignition timing map(if that helps)

if only it worked on the msp ecu, seems to work on the mp3 & mp5. anyone want a msp ecu? =]

Sorry for the thread jack!

Q for terry

How many MSP's have you tried it on and what were the results?
ie.. all relearned, etc. I know turboge tried the emanage for the MSP but couldn't get around the relearning limitation, but you have apparently have figured out how to get it to work on an mp3.

this is a really awesome idea. viva la information revolution!~~ (add appropriate pronounciation marks at your discretion)

I really wanted to get an emanage when Turboge was tuning with it, but with his lackluster results, I pretty much gave up on that route...I have his emanage to protege wiring diagram saved on my hard drive...MP3skaterNC maybe you can also post your wiring setup and we could compare or something.

Since the MSP ECU resists change more than an old man, could I swap with a P5 ECU? (Pretty much bumping DiscreetSpeeds question)

Hmmm, according to the install instructions it said you can advance or retard the timing up to 20 degrees.

I might have to look into this option after-all.

Great idea- ballpark pricing for N/A is what I am after too.

Would we still run into the closed loop issue at WOT with this unit?
And would we need the voltage clamp or something similar for our MAF?

Hey moose, if you pick one up for your n/a app lemme know- fuel and timing are the two biggies that I am looking at-

Well guys and girls our Emanage is coming along very well, we will have full results very shortly.
All this stuff that it would not keep the settings is false that is not happening. We have things working well we are waiting on two things before we go tot he dyno and do some real tuning.
We a re waiting for 440cc injectors and an O2 sensor, after that it is looking real good.
If anyone wants me to put them in contact witht the wizard who did all this I will be glad to do that.
Actually Greddy is talking to him to make a PNP harness for the MSP they are trying to work out the details.

Shinzen,
I am buying a WB o2 sensor first and then the emanage unit and E-01 because I don't have a laptop. Should be a while, but will be nice to finally tune an HC engine and I will be sure to let everyone know my progress.
moose

damn man- over $500 for the e-01 isn't it? why not just get an older used laptop for a few hundred- oh and why the o2 sensor? I wasn't aware of that neccessity.

How about some screen shots too? I'd like to see what the interface looks like.
here you go, if you want to see some more, just ask.

Nice man, glad to see its working well on a mazdaspeed now. How is your timing hooked up? Just directly into the wires from the emanage, or what?
