Why can't it be done on a msp ecu.
Cause they are evil. The code is unbreakable, basiclly. Even if you could find a tech to do the flash you'd still have to address who the hell is going to work on the tuning. Not a simple plug and play task.

lol i love it when everyone just jumps on a newbs case.

what if he were right? would he want to come back and share his findings? i dont think so because everyone was a dick face **** wad to him. It is things like this that seriously bother me about the forum.

First off, i would like to mention that blkzoomzoom, you are a tool. I have thought this for a while, and I just think it shows from a post like this. Also, how you roll around prophesizing that you are "stock" and act like you are the s*** because you make fast numbers "stock"... it is just a big attention grabber, really that is all it is. I used to like you, but i now have realized you are just a tool imo.

and for everyone else jumping the noob, grow up. If we are ever to learn anything abou tthe car's we have and their potential, we need to be welcoming to others. I cant believe many members are naive enough to think they know ALL about all the possible tuning capabilities there are for our cars.

grow up, ther is a world outside of www.mazdamp3.com and others have ideas that we havent necessarily tested as of yet.

rant off.

lol @ azian6er.

If you spent as much time as me with fellow techs., Mazda tech. line help group, and actual Mazda engineers (hardly speak english). You would understand where I am coming from. It is literally near impossible to re-program this computer, and when done would cost an extreme amount time and money. In my opinion it isn't something someone found out how to do in there backyard.

I can't blame you for being upset though, if I spent as much money as you on a car only to have it break over and over I would be upset too.

Everybody here knows my car isn't stock, it's called a rolling joke, I'm sorry if you haven't gotten it yet.

ASIAN 6 er I really have a guy here in Tulsa who worked for Mazda up untill about 6 months ago. His name is Bruce Masters and he now works for Surfside Imports. All I've told him so far is to omit the fuel cut regulated by the mass airflow sensor and speed up the ignitions timing. I take my Speed in Wed. the 8th and need advise. To the rest of you 16 year old faggots who obviously know s*** about s***...Eat my exhaust, 13 second qtrs. suck!

Find a wideband and straighten out your air/fuel raitos. Then maybe get an experienced tuner and a dyno to tweak the spark timing. You also could try playing with the VICS transition point for s**** and giggles.

I don't know the details of the ECU, so I'll just say best of luck to you and leave it at that.

Keep us updated if you make any progress with this.

what color is your MSP? When i was visiting a friend (RyanJayG) i tagged a blue MSP at a church...

yes i never doubted any of this. What i called into question was your response to the noob..

"lol, yeah"

if we keep ostracizing new members, who is to say, we wont do it to a member that has a valid cause?

im just sick of the way people are treated in general. I dont think it is the way a forum should conduct itself.

also, you misunderstand my aggression. I am in no way mad at my car, i am just mad a people like you who lie about their car and try to get away with it.

Also, i have blown my engine once. how many times have you blown yours? And i actually didnt blow it persay, my rod bearings started making noise.

sorry if i come off as a pissed off guy, but i just think you treat people like ass and i have no tolerance for that treatment.

He's flashed 20 or so MSp's when he worked at mazda. He says speeding up the ignitions timing will lean out the fuel curve and create the best HP motor HP. He says our cars run rich and I can vouge for that having black soot up the rear of my car every 2 days even with a high flow cat. I'm not familiar with VICS but will ask. Thanks for the advise! (cool)

travisto- Now please don't take offense to my next statement. It sounds like Bruce got his hands on the "re-flash" which Mazda had released, this is the increased timing he is talking about. You saying he did it while at Mazda confirms my belief. That being said, you can go to any dealership and ask them nicely to re-flash your pcm to the latest calibration aval. I am a Mazda Tech. also, and yes I have re-flashed many pcms also.

Azian6er- The only person I lied to was you, I never had touched my turbo until I blew the motor, that was the only time it was ever off. I said I modified it because my g/f felt sorry for you going slower and she didn't want me to hurt your feelings. All mods that have been done to my car are on this site.

Be careful with that. Our car doesn't run that lean partial throttle with a heavy load. It actually starts to dangerously lean.

One thing I would like you to ask him, is if he knows the offset or address on the eprom for the following two things:

- Rev Limiter
- Speed Limiter

If he allready knows that, it would be such a blessing. My mechanic prefers not to spend hours trying to figure that out.

And technically, yeah, if you read the eeprom, edit the values and burn it back, that should in theory work. Would take a hell of a long time , plus youd have to figure out the data positions and ... bleh so much s***.

werd. when someone makes a blanket statement of "i've got a comp and the codes, its getting re-programmed" it doesn't sound very official. the LAST thing you want to do if you're looking for big numbers is advance the timing further up top...

btw- i'll be an asshole all I want.
