Does anyone now if the flash is out in NJ yet? The dealer I got my car from didn't know what I was talking about when I called them. I got my MSP from Grecco Mazda in Denville, NJ.

Oh nice.. that's where I bought my MSP from.. do u work there?

Nope, but I bought my MSP there too. I went on Thursday to ask about the flash, and the service manager said that he doesn't like to download files from the Mazda server (because of problems in the past). He said they'll be getting the disk in the mail soon, then they'll test it out early next week, and they should be ready for flashing customers on Wed.

Grecco's no fun, stay away. Had my MSP serviced there several times, they're a Lincoln Mercury dealer. They had NO idea what I was talking about regarding the hesitation, clunk, radio, or alarm problem being well-known MSP issues, despite many posts here telling of Mazda communiques to their MSP dealers... aside from that I've spent some time in their showroomm waiting area listening to how they sell cars. Stay away.

I bought mine at Crystal Mazda, on 22 East of 287. Victor (Mazda service manager there) says he should have the flash available this coming week, knows the MSP issues better than Grecco. I'll post once I hear back from him (unlike some, he DOES return phone calls!). They're on the web at www.crystalautomall.com too. And no, I don't work for them, just a fairly satisfied customer.

Good luck!

Got mine done on Wednesday at Sansone. No appointment, just went in the morning, gave them the keys, said I wanted the flash. 30 minutes later I had my car back.

I'm going to Sansone early tomorrow AM - hope it's as good as they say. As of yesterday, Grecco had no clue (no surprise there) and Crystal was insisting it was not a TSB yet and they didn't have it. That's 2 for Sansone - I'm THERE (despite a 43 mile drive...).

I just left my car at Sansone's for the night. Hopefully I'll get her back sometime during the day. I have to use my friends car in the meantime. :(

Do you think Sansone's would mind if I have my Injen CAI in.. or should I take it out?

Just got mine done at Sansone, talk to Don (Mazda service writer). 1 hour, no problems, and they give the car a safety check too. IN ADDITION, I got a $5 coupon for a free breakfast in their site cafeteria! I doubt there would be any problems with leaving the CAI on, you can always call and ask!

Flash worked as described in that incredibly lo-ong thread above - smoother, better midrange power, and more reliable power delivery. Still some lumps but they're REALLY small.

Sansone is on the NB side of route 1 about 5 miles North of I-287. You can enter their lot just as you approach the dealership OR (if you miss that entrance) there's another at the end of their (long) lot. They're a LincolcMercuryNissanToyotaMozda (and probably more) dealer. Don knows Mazdas and is familiar with the flash.

Yup. Don Way is the guy to see. He's known about the flash for a while.

Next time I'm able to I'm going to stop by and ask him what kind of mods I can do to my car without voiding the warranty. Let's see what he says.

still duno where that is :( what exit of 287 or 80 ? got an address for the so i can look them up on mapquest or a fone number :p

Your best bet would probably be:

I-80 East to I-287 South.
I-287 South to Exit 37 (Route 24 East)
Take the I-78 Local exit to the Parkway
Parkway South to Exit 130 (Route 1 North)
Take Route 1 North about 4 miles. You'll pass Woodbridge Center Mall, then Route 9 will merge with you, then you'll cross over Route 35. The dealership will be on your right hand side. It's HUGE. They have just about every brand of car there..you won't miss it.

The address is 90-100 Route 1 North in Avenel, NJ 07001. Don't have a phone # but you could always call 411.

Yeah...the way I said above isn't the fastest way. You can get there from exit 135 off the Parkway, but if you're not from the area I wouldn't recommend it, because you have to make a bunch of turns on side streets and can get easily lost.

i can't take it anymore

For the Jersey guy's,

Has any one gone to route 1 Samson Mazda with MOD's to get the flashed.

I just made an appointment for Monday, and I don't know If I should take off my MBC

or the FP KIT. I hope the Exhaust is not a problem, it is load as hell...

I was waiting for Route 22 to get off there ASS, but from what my brother told me,

that service department sucks, and they don't even believe the flash is real.

A top manager told him that we are all lying.
