ECU fix and Canada

Ok Canucks, lets start bitching. Get to the dealers and demand this update for us to. I'm going up tomorrow.

I called my dealership today .. they're going to look into it and get back to me in the next couple days.

I dont think it should be toooo hard for us to get it...

(dunno)

My dealer said they don't download it... and that they recieve it by disk or cd or something.... they said that they have nothing to do with the American service network like I read in another post.

And yet another post stated that they called Mazda service Canada (or something like it..) and they said it takes a month or two for it to catch up here in Canada...

He said she said... lol I'll shuddup now and listen...

P.S. Can I just cross the border and have it flashed down there?
I wonder if it'll work? and of course... is it free?

Might as well try it so you don't have to wait for months...

I'm going to call up some local dealers today and see what's going on with the flash. If I have no luck maybe I'll be taking a drive to Buffalo:D

The warranty is north america wide so this might work....I would call the dealer in the US and be honest about what you want...be willing to pay for some labour to do the flash and do not expect it for free even thou it should be.

After literally waiting 7/8 months.....

I contacted the manager @ Mazda customer relations Canada (like way back in April), and was red-flagged to get the first update since I was concerened about my car stalling all the time. Guess what? It still stalls, and Mazda has provided NO updates (either from Mazda Canada or my Dealersip).

F@!$-You Mazda.

I printed off that service bulletin that was posted on the other thread. I'm going to hand it to my service manager (i've already told him this was coming) and tell him to look into it.

I called my dealer yesterday before leaving town for the day.
This morning on my voicemail was a message telling me this update is available, and I will be able to get it next week.

Logan, who's your Dealership?

If I get the run-a-round from my Dealership, I'd like to have some ammo....

AND as for Mazda Canada Customer relations...they are a useless. The Manager verbally told me that he'd keep me informed when this fix was complete; which I see did not happen.

Okay guys....what is going on?

The repsonse I just got from my service manager re: this was:

"...As of today's date I have not heard of nor seen any corrections
relating to your concern with your vehicle, as soon as any info comes across my desk or through e-mail i will advise you."

Very good guys to deal with.

Logan, who's your contact person?...I want to call your dealership to see what's going on.

See,

I might get screwed here. I have a FMIC, AWR Rad. Magnus exhaust. New plugs from NGK. MBC.

I am really nervous that they'll say that because the car is not in it's stock form, I caused these hesitation issues and therefore I am not eligible for this flash.

Any input?

I contacted Angevaare Mazda, and spoke to the Service Manager.

The fix is out; available via the web by means of the Dealer portal

Fellow Speed owners....get your car booked for a servicing soon.

(As to why one Dealership already knew about it, and mine had no clue, go figure).

My guys are cool. I'm honest with them about what I'm experiencing. When I talked to them yesterday morning, they didn't know anything, but they checked into it, and then called me back.
They have really good customer service.
Dave,
Why wouldn't you get it? Are you worried about them raising a flag on your VIN #? Don't know how to get around that, other than to go to a good dealership, and be honest with them.
I say remove your boost controller when you go.
