ECU fix and Canada

The service Manager at my dealership "will look into it and get back to me when he can". - whenever that is.

I figure, judging from experience, that it would be quicker to drive to Peterborough and back to WPG., than it will to get it serviced in WPG.

Lucky you Logan...sounds like you are dealing with a Proactive dealership.

Ah....now for a permanent clunking fix........:(

Yes, I'm quite happy with them. Other than one oil change which I did myself, I've been to them for everything. Coming up on 24K service...

Wow! That East coast trip really racked up the K's EH?????

wondering if the TO people should hookup someplace and raid a dealership that will do the flash. would be pretty funny to see like 10 MSPs pull into the lot one morning. :)

Damn I wait months and nothing, I go away for a few weeks and a fix comes out :) once I get back to Canada Sunday night I am calling my dealership to get this fixed. I guess I should read up on the fix first though ;)

Well I just confirmed the email was sent to canadian dealers at 8:00 this morning and the fix is supposed to be on the dealer portal.

As of 4:30 today the fix has not been posted on the portal so I am told...they are checking frequantly and hop to download over the weekend.

So bottom line...next week for us.....unless as someone posted a dealer in the GTA has it now...then we are should be driving there.

Interesting. As for my previous post, my service manager says:
" As of today's date I have not heard of nor seen any corrections
relating to your concern with your vehicle..."

This was after this supposed 8:00 timeframe. But then again which time-zone is that?

8:00 am EST

didn't get to mine today, worked overtime again

I'll email and ask, and go up on monday.

I was going to wait to get it, but it seems pretty safe to get so far.

You getting the stumble newf? I'll tell ya, since the weather went cool my car is a beast and if the stumble were gone it would really rock. I don't have it as bad as some, either.

Oh, you might be amused to hear that my service manager ordered all replacement bushings for my MSP "no questions asked" when I suggested that they inspect them last service.

Now if we could combine cold weather without frozen streets, we'd be all set. The second I put my winter steelies on all I will be doing is spinning tires. (boom08)

Yeah it's gotten colder here as of last week. And she's quick as s***. Then it got warm today again, and she'd hesitate every now and then.

Spent hours waxing it, only to get in it later and feel the stumble crap. :(

I am thinking of a strategy like this:
- call dealer in ONT that does the flash. ask if they can do the flash. ask details, such as HOW they knew about the update.
- call my dealer, and tell them info I got from ONT dealer. my dealer will likely tell me they dunno about it.
- call mazda canada customer service and ask for an explanation and rectification of the problem.
it helps to record all the conversations.
