ebrake light stays on

i just purchased a p5 and the previous owner had just done a rear caliper replacement and the ebrake light remains on. how does one fix this?

is it common?

and please forgive me i'm a noob to the mazda scene

Check the level in the Brake fluid reservoir. If anything top it off..
