Dyno question?

How much average does it cost to dyno a car. I believe I need a front wheel drive Dyno. How much does it usually cost? Since I have really no mods on my car I would like to dyno it, if it wasnt to expensive I will look further into doing it. Was wondering if anyone could give me some insight. Thanks

it ranges from 50-150 dollars per hour.
Or some places will do a single run from $35-50 dollars. A regular dyno will work(rwd and fwd) use the same dynos. The 4wd dynos are different but 99% of the dynos in the country are 2wd dynos

Thanks that was what I was looking for, I am going to do this before I make changes and then monitor the affects of the changes. All I need to do now is find dynos in NC.
Thanks again am going to look into it.

local shop here in chicago charges
75$ for 3 runs
100 for 3 runs with wideband o2 sensor.

these rates are pretty competitve

Where are you in NC?

There is one here in Cary, and one in Greensboro. Supposedly one in Wilmington, but no one can seem to find it.

Of course there are several of them in Charlotte, but good luck getting the nascar teams to let you use them. Those are probably real engine dyno's anyway.

I am in Raleigh. I spoke to someone and they told me of a phathoms racing I believe. Where is the one in Cary. Do you know of the one in cary prices or where (is the one in Cary for Nascar or charlotte). Thanks
