Dyno day outcome?

GOOSH, i hate being OVERSEAS......... i wana come back to the US so bad, and start tuning my car again.......... get that vid up i wana see!!!!!!1

Yeah we all wanted to see ddogg's car tear it up, but I think he had to go out of town for business or something. I think we'll see it soon enough. I really wanted to see pdaudio's run too, but no need to hurt a new motor. That one should be soon enough also.

we're having a dyno day up here next month ... Focus dynoed at 296 last summer ... hopefully he'll get close to 400 now with a modified turbo and more boost

Yeah, it will be cool to see 400whp numbers all across the country, and out of the country! It's really just a matter or who get's the work done first and tuned right first. No mater who get's it first, it'll be awesome to see.

You weren't the only one disapointed, everyone thought there would be higher numbers. It sucks to have a couple big dogs in the area at the same time, but not get to see them let loose. But in due time.

That's what I wanted to see, the graph!!!! The rich dip on there is because we did not tune down that low, so when the TM comes on, it's rich. You can see where we tuned though, that thing is pretty smooth.

This dip is also becuase he went from 2k to the top, it's hard for us to do that on the road. You cna't feal that dip on the road, becuase regular driving and boosting is tuned. How often do you start from 2k and go to the top. We will take care of that when he gets a laptop.

ELI--if you change the bottom scale from MPH to RPM, it will show where the numbers are in correlation to RPM and not speed. Can you post the file also? Damn good run though, impressed the hell out of me.

Another thing, this graph show 2 tenths leaner then an actual WBO2 in the DP, since it's a probe in the tailpipe. So he is more in the mid 11.5 range. I forgot about that until just now, so my previous post was off. Either way, it's nice. He is also running the same timing retard I am at 8psi and MP3 ECU, so he can add some timing to give him a little more power too. Maybe we can get to the dyno again and tune some fuel and timing to see if we can get to the 175-180hp range, I think it is more then possible with this setup!!!!

I can post the map, but his is completly different then anyone else. I changed some things in the TM and he doesn't even need the IAT clamp, it's too much fuel. I'll have to do it later, I have it on my laptop in my car.
 
If I had even one fan, some good gas, and less need for me to get home last night, then I would have put it on there. I was gonna do a single 9psi pull with no fans but there were a couple people lined up to go and I had to leave before they would be done. Bah, oh well, I probably only would have pulled 220'ish at 9psi with the conservative maps that I made for the lower elevation. I still like my motor and want to keep it.:)

Yeah, you definatly took the smart route. No fans would of sucked on the dyno. It would of been nice to see some big numbers though. How's you make out with the drive and no fans?

also- after seeinbg the nightmares it seems to be for most...i do not think i am ever going to think about boost on my 6, unless its the mazdaspeed 6 and it comes with it from the fatory...every turbo'd car there seemed to have some sort of problem, cept for bigtim. and i think eli went well, cept for the exhaust leak........

Oh yeah, sorry. So I take it you were happy with the outcome once you got the baseline from the stocker? So what was the total increase from stock with all your mods?

How did he break a valve? The valve must of got stuck and hit the piston.

after seein the stocker run, i am impressed. stocker put down 158whp. so i am 18 over that. and i dig it. i was too stupid at first to realize the my previous number were with a aem cai on the car. so my improvement from the aem was only 8whp. but the car worked less to get it. and the air/fuel looked just awesome through the whole power band. and i am way cool with that.
 
Damn thats dissapointing news... I was hoping to see decent numbers. Oh well, I still have to catch Focus and Dinos?

I'm gonna be pushing my little T-25 pretty hard this year.

How the heck did the valve break? Was the timing off?
 
dude, I don't think doubling the wheel horsepower is a bad number. From ~100 to ~200? hell yes.
