DVD Headrest solution - lease friendly - affordable

Finally got around to taking a pic of the video iPod. Works great. I used PQ DVD to iPod Video Suite, squeezed the picture 33% using 640x480 resolution, and the picture looks great on 16:9 LCD's. I also picked up a Philips DCP850 DVD player with an iPod port in it so the movies are now portable anywhere.

And, here is a better picture during the day to highlight the matching tone of the headrests.

Looks good!

Nice,

I'm planning to go down that route.
The KUDA guys won't have anything for the CX-9 for a couple of months so I think I'm going to mount it in the center console and use a remote.
A video switcher and the DVD headrest and I should be set.

Great find, HeavyH2O!

Is there any reason two of us CX-7 owners couldn't chip in an buy a pair, and each keep one in his vehicle? (In other words, in addition to getting two headrests, do you also get two sets of whatever wires you need?)

Tan Color Headrests

Any one try installing Tan coloured headrests? i'm Worried that the colours will match!

Thanks

I can't believe how nice the dvd headrests look for that price. Are they still available? The link doesn't seem to work for me.

Holy crap that nice and cheap...I thought I had a deal paying $189 for a pair, but no dvd included. Might have to get rid of mine now.

Just got mine heres the email I sent them...

"Just received the package today was so excited. However I am disappointed the quality of the product is fine but there are defects and damage on both the monitors. One is a scratch that was either there prior to delivery or caused because of lack of proper protection and packaging for shipping. The other screen has chips on the edge of the glass along with some air pockets on the edge do to an improper mating between the glass and the liquid. Like I said over all the quality of the product is good but it looks like some just threw in some used or damaged screens and called it good. I'm reluctant to just package them back up with all the hassle. I was hoping to recommend these to everyone I know but if they all come this way I cannot in good conscious.

Sincerely,"

I don't know you get what you pay for... I'd be willing to send them back but hell its just the kids watching them and once they are on and it's dark you really have to look for the one scratch. I've bought a cheap portable that has black spots all over the place now. If these surrvive a few years I would be satisfied considering the portable one last just over a year...
I'll see if they reply maybe I'll get lucky and they will discount the shipping or somthing..

Their reply:

"hithanks for your prompt reply.i am sorry to hear the items' condition.we send you complete new item,if possible please connect to the car and take photoes and send a mail to our mail address.thanks a lot regards jordan"

The responce is a little confusing not sure if they are sending another set or what..

I should have some pics to post no later than Thursday when I plan to install them. Its dark by time I get home and I've been just to tired to do much more than eat and go to bed after work. I did plug them in to the Cig to make sure they work. One of the Harnesses was not working after about a half hour playing with it I'm pretty sure it was just the fuse not being set in properly havn't been able to get it to not work again.

Just picked up my CX-7 two weeks ago and have been holding off ordering these since I read about the problem you had. Did the company send you a replacement? Has anyone else had any problems with theirs?

Mine were a tad more than what you paid. These load and eject via pressing on the top edge of the screen, popping the top out. Thus the disk cannot drop out.

They also have wireless remote controls (each). They are hard wired in so there is no cig lighter wires lopping around.

But they are also game consoles. 15 internal games and wireless game controllers.

Kids love them.

They are currently jerking me around... say they want better quality pics I'll do them again but I doubt I'll get any resolve for the price and who is watching it I can live with it as long as they keep working. The kids really could care less or even notice the little scratch. Had these been installed in my factory head rests I would be going ape sh@t :)

Mine are hard wired and had the cig option, also came with two wireless remotes and cord for hooking up a game system. How much more is a tad? mine came to 319.57 to my door everything included.

I tried dealing with these guys but they completely ignored my emails asking for information. The website's not too clear either in terms of what you are getting and how much it costs. I decided against buying from them
