wassup alprotege....some springs would probably be what you are looking for. Eibachs or H&Rs would be good. Also Tein may have a set to fit your car. I remember somebody saying one time on here, that most springs fit all proteges'. Is that right everyone?? I have Spool springs with a 2 inch drop, and was able to get excellent alignment. Hope this helps. Later:)

i use gc's and i dropped my mp3 "3 inches" but i don't think that is true. But i have my mp3 slammed as far as it can probably go. So far no problems with alignment.

For some reason the MP3s' wont go as low as P5s' with coilovers. When I had my skunk2 coilovers on my car, they dropped it about 4.5 -5 inches. I could only stand the popping and the piss poor ride for so long. It was slammed as s*** though. Later :-)

thanks for the replies, i dont know which ones i want to buy right now im mostly just concerned about the alignment but if you dropped your 2 inchs and still had the alignment perfect when they did it then im not to concered about it now. how hard are they to put on, and does anyone know if there is any difference between a 1999 es model and the 2002 protege 5 suspension, (the way the struts and springs go on)? thanks kevin

yes protege sedan, DX/LX/ES/MP3/MSP, springs will not work on the p5 unless they are spool.

Slammedp5- what's this popping noise you have? i have a similar noise from 5-0mph and i wanna know if its the same...

I had the popping with the coilovers, and from what i understand, it was just the infamous coilover pop. seems that the lower spring perch would move around, and that was making the popping sound. :)
