DRL - Daytime Running Lights

i was wondering how i could activate daytime running lights (preferably a dim high-beam) on my 2007 3 grand touring.

The shop I used to work at would regularly do Canadian conversions of US Miatas. In the case of those cars it was simply a Mazda module that plugged into an already existing wire harness.

Not sure if the 3 will be the same, but if it isn't then there are kits that you can wire in for DRL's.

Mazda Canada will have to have some stock. Where it plugs in, I have no idea. It plugs in under the steering column in the Miata, maybe the same on the 3? Maybe in the engine bay? You can buy wire in ones that usually just go in the engine bay behind each headlight. I prefer OE and would opt for the module though.

the DRLs are controlled by the PJB in the mazda3, it is all integrated and computerized... it will be difficult to enable it especially since there's some minor wiring differences in the canadian version

I did not know that The Man. Not that it matters to me being in Canada already though. I don't see why the after market wire in kits wouldn't work for anyone wanting to add DRL's.

I have the same problem about needing to activate my DRL's on a 08 Mazda3. How did you solve your problem?

look on the internet for a universal drl module,it sells for about 20$,only 2-3 wires to plug in most cases...about 15 min job...

i had one in a old police pack 1990 chevy caprice back then,i d like to tell the name,but,it was one i bought here in a canadian tire store,15 years ago,so....

i have a friend who works there i ll try to find with him...
