drink holder sports auto

you ever try to clean out the drink holders after someone has dumped a soda in them . I found a way to do that easy.

you can remove the drink holder in 1 step



1: lightly pull up on the drink holder it pop out then you can rinse it off.and put it back.

PS: put it back tilted front side first.

i know that it sounds easy but if you didn't know that there are no screws then it could be a pain in the ass to clean in place.

Yep.
There are actually very little screws around for the panels in the center console.
The whole polished piece will simply pop off also.

My cup holder will not release! Is it attached to the whole centre console? Only one end pops up the rest where the gear shift is won't unsnap...should it?

yeah the hole center should come up...happened to me a couple weeks ago...just keep pulling...most likely like in my case...it was just stuck on there pretty good due to soda and crap...

no sugar in the car is another easy way to solve the issue.

Those cup holders are in the worse position. I cant fit my Baja Fresh cup and put the car into park. I have to take the cup out with one hand and shift it into park with the other. Bah.

yeah try having to shift into 1st every time you stop with the baja fresh cups or a thirst busters...not fun

I know what you mean...I have a Starbucks stainless steel mug and it barely fits in the holder..got to watch that you don't bang the dash. Still like to have them though. I have no junk spilt in my cup holders as I have only had the car less than 3 weeks. It's just hard to unsnap from the car!

I just had my first major spill. Damn our cupholders suck ass. Coke all over my passenger side leather seats and my carpet. Sad...and its in the worst position. I thought the VW Golf was bad.

i have to pull my parking brake, pop off the little piece that it sticks through, then pop out the whole cupholder piece
