Drift event is next weekend

Yeap, the one that was at Autocity Speedway last year is going to go on 7/11. I think there'll be another one later this year as well. I'll be going to watch. I have to replace some more parts on my car before I can run it, and I'm in no rush to get it running.

It's $10 to spectate, and I'm sure a few others here can vouch that it was a blast to be at last year.

A blue Mazdaspeed won his class in the car show, Brandon something. There were more show cars than race cars this time. The event was pretty fun. There were some good burnouts. The one 240 did a great job drifting, he destroyed a new set of tires doing it. The flat black 240 from last year did decent, he just couldn't get the car to work for him. I got a ride with him early on, for a moment I was certain we were going into the wall. He had to almost man handle the car, where as last year it just did everything without any effort. A red 240 blew it's turbo, and had a small fire. A film crew was also there getting some footage for a dvd that will be sold at Bestbuy.

The two drifters in the black cars (both 240's?) were really good, I liked the street racing too...pretty fun day.
