Double sunroof???

I was wondering what it would be like to have a double sunroof on the p5. I seen it before in SEMA show pics... However, I wanted to see what everyone else says about it. I want to have it done spoiler style sunroofs. If not, I wanted to do a setup similar to the new nissan maxima idea, the skyview. Except a bigger piece of glass... One that stretches where the OEM sunroof starts and extends to the edge of the backseats... What do you guys think??? Thanks in advance.

that would be awesome. My mom thought that my car had a glass roof. (I have a black car). Ever since she said that, I had the idea to do the same thing. I encourage you to research the idea.

yea double sun roof's like the ones on subaru outbacks and land rovers..I don't think it would be that hard to install..just get out the sawsall and go to town..haha..

the double sunroof would be fine....the skyview would be a problem, a BIG problem. you see...there is a structural portion of the body that goes across the roof....just about above the back of the front seats....

if you tried to put in a skyview glass there...you would have to remove that support in order for it not to be showing...and that would weaken the structure of your car....not a good thing.

My dealer here had one done with a double sun roof. Looked very nice. They took a 2002 and sent it out got custom leater, dual moonrooves, and some other junk. They wated like $24k for it when all was said and done.

Thanks guys. I never thought of the structural integrity of the car. Something to think about. I'll talk to the top shop and see what they say about it... Thanks again...

one thing i heard is that w/ MP3 and MSP.. it's got no moonroof b/c it'll weaken it's structure... and the handling would go down... so who knows...

btw.. anyone tested the dual moonroof to test out it's handling?? :D
