Dog Guard

Are you still in this forum? I've been trying to order one of these dog guards, but the Mazda UK doesn't want to ship to Alaska. Is there any other way to obtain this guard? I've tried to use one of those universal guards - but the legs take up too much of the floor space in the back of the CX7 and the dog just pushs it over. I've been using a kennel in the back - but my puppy is getting too big for the kennel (mastiff/lab mix) and its getting to where I can't take him with me anywhere.

Sorry for taking so long to respond, work has had me slammed. Are you talking to a dealership or are you talking to Mazda corporate in the UK? I called a dealership and spoke with the Parts Manager and the their boss. They were hesitant at first and I eventually ended up sending them a FedEx label so all they had to do was give the package to FedEx, essentially taking all the liability off them. Also, apparently Amex gives merchants more protection that Visa and MasterCard so they said they would only accept that.

Another thing that helped them get comfortable was that I initiate all the phone calls so they didn't have the long distance costs. If you have issues, you might see if your local dealer will vouch for you.

Good luck, if you need any more help, I can see if I can dig up the dealership that I purchased it from. I still think it was the best purchase I ever made for the vehicle. Dealers over here ask me about it when ever they see it.

It looks like I put the install images up on my Mac.com account and didn't back them up when Apple pulled them down. I was able to find Google Cache's copies, but they are all low res and Google didn't cache every image. I will update the posts relinking the images to another server shortly.
