Does holding the DSC button while starting the car change anything?

if you turn the botton off the car will spin, like mine will spin first second and even third on a slight hill, turn-off = spinning wuts of that is so hard to comprehend

mine doesnt spin that much at all, something a little bit in the second gear but never close to spinning in third...even when its off

I was just asking because its like to know what it does and thats it...

Personnaly i prefer to drive with the thing off. The car understeer alot when its on and cut my power sometime

I think the car understeers alot because its FWD. Leave it on.

As for the seach function...the more you use it, the better it gets. It takes a while to figure out the little tricks though

When I press and hold it I get "DAMAGE TO MANIFOLD" and the rivets pop out of my floor boards and fall out. Luckily I wasn't moving. Stupid Mazda.

werd, yea mine spins to much but thats wut happens when u spend money on goin fast and not any on mounts and a tourquedamper, lol.. plus these stock tires dont last for s*** even if your not spinning,, but yea man all it does is let the car spin if it needs to and it wont cut the power,, but idk about driving with it off all the time, that aint to safe

did your 100 shot of nawz blow the welds on your intake? I hate it when that happens, I go with a 99 shot and use a plastic intake manifold so the welds don't break.

man forget wet shots of nos to the motor... i straight up drink that s*** for breakfast, drops my quarter time to 9.8 and i dont have to worry about blowing intake welds or losing out on a 3some with ludacris

what mod do you have cause spinning in third is some serious power...i think my MS3 is pretty fast but i dont even spin in second most of the time...in fact it only spin a little if i shift perfectly and very fast from first to second...

what have you done to your car?

epic triple post!!!

i'll spin into third gear sometimes too. if i'm really hammering down its not too hard to lose traction there, especially if i'm trying to get thru the shift without losing too much boost pressure (not no-lift shifting, but keeping some RPM to avoid complete loss of boost). my car is completely stock too, so its not like any mods are giving me extra HP to make it unmanageable.

As to tire spin in third with DSC off, it depends on the road surface.

I sometimes get it, just a chirp, and other times not. I think when it happens, it's a result of a somewhat more slick surface and how abrupt the clutch release is and where you are with the throttle. A flat shift from 3 to 4 at 5,500 rpm on a less than good surface and I get a chirp.

I'm not talking about damp roads. If it's even a little damp, you can lose traction easily in 3rd and get in trouble in 4th if you are not careful. One more reason to let DSC do it's job most of the time.
