Do the new shipments of 3S's come with the 2.3 badge?

The new one's I saw had them on.

There is another thread here that suggests the new cars do have the 2.3 badges.

but, the good news. they don't have holes drilled in the car for them and they could be removed.

Blow dryer is a good tool to use to remove tags. Well certain tags and I thought that canada was the only place you could by the 2.3 with the badges on them.

Last week, I saw a 2.3 badge on a 3 S sitting at a car dealership in Mechanicsburg, PA. Your statement made me think I didn't see it correctly or saw it on a different model. So, I just called the sales department for the dealership. Salesmen confirmed that they now come with either a 2.0 or a 2.3 badge on the side. Of course respective to engine size.

Dang. glad I got mine before they included them. :D

Here's the story with the 2.3 badges.

- The badges first reached dealerships around a month ago. Anyone who has a 2.3l engine can request a set from their dealer and get it installed for free
- All Mazda3's (regardless of the build date) do not have factory installed 2.3l badges
- Because dealers now have the badges, some may get their techs to install them on the vehicles on their lots
- Aside from the dealership, the 2.3 badges may also be installed at port. Being in Canada, I can only give Canadian info, and for Canada, all vehicles up to mid-February build dates will NOT have badges installed at port. I can't say yet for vehicles with build dates after mid-February (because they haven't reached Toronto). But again, this info is only for the Canadian water-port - MazdaUSA has 4 water-ports, and I don't know the badge status at these ports

As an aside, I personally don't like the badges, so I told my dealer not to install them but to leave a set in the glovebox (I took delivery Apr 1). They did exactly as I said, and the instructions sheet that came with the badges include different part numbers for port or dealer installation (this is how I know they'll eventually start putting them on at port).
