Unable to turn off the DL driving lights in my 2014 touring, when following the sequence for a 2013 CX5. Is there an additional step or a different sequence? Thanks. Ed

Not throwing stones, but just curious. Why would you want to turn off a safety feature like the daytime running lights? What's the advantage to you?

I was able to disable the DRL following the same set of instructions on my 2014 touring (since I installed the LED fog light trim that replaces the DRL function). The key is going to be timing the steps and do it without mistakes. It took me a few tries to get it to work.

Good luck!

In many cars engaging the parking brake lever one notch up (normally not enough to actually engage the brake) will turn off the DRLs.

Owner's manual, page 9-12: The following Personalization Features are available. These settings can only be changed by an Authorized
Mazda Dealer: The function of the daytime running lights can be changed On/Off.

I also installed the LED fog light covers this afternoon and then tried several times to get the DRL's to turn off. What do you mean by "timing the steps" exactly? Are you pausing between steps?

I have tried to deactivate my DRL nearly twenty times and they are still on. I just cant seem to get the procedure right.

disable daylight running lights

Remove #51 fuse in the engine compartment fuse box for the 2014 CX-5. Check bottom of page 6-53 of owners manual for the fuse listings. The box cover includes the fuse removal tool.
