I owned my mp3 for 2 years now and just today when changing a flat tire did i realize i dont have a rear sway bar. I always thought the mp3 came with rear sways. If at all possible does someone have a pic of the stock mp3 rear sway loacation if in fact it did come with em?

well, i gues im in the market for new sway bars. What is the best or really good set to drop on?

You probably still have the front bar, so no need to be in the market for "new sway bars".

Check ebay for a Mazdaspeed rear sway bar. I used to see them there on occassion. That's where I got mine.

Racing Beat made the stock one, it's bright red. If you're looking to upgrade, I recommend the adjustable 21.5mm AWR rear bar w/ endlinks.

I still have my stock front sway bar, I figured if I'm going to buy a new rear I mine as well upgrade the front as well. how are the awr sway bars? how much better than stock? also i see the progress sway bars posted all over for the proteges, anyone have any input on em?

THere is no need to swap out the front sway bar. It is a real pain in the ass. the front subframe has to be droppped to put that sucker in. i think you have a 25mm front sway bar. MSP front is 26mm i think. could be totally wrong

If your rear sway is missing, you'll probably need the brackets, too. Just a mention so you don't get all set for the install and then realize you're missing something!

The MSP and MP3 have the same 25mm sway unless everything on this board is wrong.

For the rear, just get a used rear sway (MSP/MP3 were the same size, despite what the info on these boards say), and buy a clunk fix from evolv (Vendor section).

If i got the mazdaspeed rear sway bar and clunk fix, would i need anything else to complete the install??

is 140$ a good price for a new mazdaspeed rear sway bar? only place i found one was on ebay and that what he want for it. i have no price comparison to work off of.

that's not bad for a brand new one. Might want to check onlinemazdaparts though, as I don't know what they retail for and they may give you a better deal.

any suggestions for what endlinks?

If you have any snow in the winter or salt go with the stock ones. Adjustable ones (AWR) will rust and seize quickly. Also they clunk alot. I went from stock, to AWR, to stock again, and am more then happy with the stock ones.

I actually just took a pic of the rear sway bar for my FS thread.

Camera on the ground about 6 inches behind the bumper.
