It's open so the bass comes through from the subs. No there are not suppose to be speakers there

ya man, cuz my sub blew (warranty) and i was like, " And nothing is comming out of the rear speakers" and they guy tells me there are none... its 7 speakers. 4 in the doors (1 each) and 2 tweeters up fromt (near window) and the sub... 7.

I never knew the back doors had speakers, but they do!

You could, but the wires back there are dead and our headunit doesn't have another set of of outputs for 2 more speakers. Plus the custom tray where is your sub and amp is is too high up. The speakers would have to be super thin and would probably sound like crap.

The wires in the back aren't hooked up to anything. Its just the pre-existing wires from the ES because the ES has 6x9s in the back. For the wires the be live they would need to be wired into our HU and they aren't.

I'm surprised that some people don't know where the speakers are in the car. The front sound stage is so strong and there's relatively no rear stage other than the sub because of the location of the rears. I guess I just listen closely...or maybe it was becasue my sub blew and I took out the tray to find out why!

i found that out too, our front sound stage is pretty damn good, i can really hear placement and the stuff, being that i like good sound, i like. that however is for the front, one time i had to ride in the rear of our cars, wow, it sucks sooooo much. the bass is boomy, the midlevel is muddled and low in volume and sounds like utter crap, and the high range, what high range? im soo glad im the driver, not the passenger (not to mention the rear seats are not comfortable, especially with the suspension work).

I was stokked when i got my MSP about the sound system it had, but now that ive had it for a few thousand miles... i think it aint all that great at all.

a while back when i bought the car i took out the front door spkers. and pu tthem in the back deck and bought sum kenwood 6x9 and put them in the front it sould so good.
