DGMotorsports carbon fiber lip real cf or no

Is it real carbon fiber? Also is it finished over so you can see it with a clear or is it painted black? Basicly if i put it on my msprotege and cant afford the paint at the moment should i leave it off til painted of would the carbonfiber look decent. Anyone have pics of it unpainted???

Let me get this straight, you want to paint a carbon fiber hood. Just one question, why?

By the way it is real carbon and it is a very good looking hood without paint.

Sorry I'm a retard. The lower portion of the lip is real carbon fiber. The upper portion is urethane or fiberglass, can't remember which.

If you call DG their really super nice and will answer any questions for you.

Just so you know you can get an all fiberglass version made, all you have to do is ask them. I've got a fiberglass one and just need to get it to the bodyshop to have it painted.

lol its cool no problem. I know they said the upper portion is something else but is that really visible?? I mean the portion that you see is carbon fiber right? Id like to see a better picture than that is on their website, a more visible one. So basicly would be part where the vents are the top part of the vent would be non cf???

Ok I'm gonna use Jamie's car as an example. Thanks Jamie.

There is a line in the lip even with the top of the vents. Everything below that is cf. Everything above that is either fiberglass or urethane. Now above that line the lip is shaped so that it fits into the bottom of the fog lights and the bottom of the middle grill section. Also it curves around the sides and sorta shaped so it snaps on into the wheel wells. Hard to explain in text easier in person. Hopefully the picture will help. I know Jamie's lip is not carbon fiber but I would like to think my description helps.

No you do. It's the part above the little line that's in the middle. It would have to be color matched to your car. Hard to explain, sorry.

Does anybody have a picture of the lip not on the car to show Neal? I've got a lip just laying around, but no digital camera.
