December 2009 Mazda5 Sales

[Here's the monthly sales report I've been doing, it just adds the historical monthly sales from 2007 to 2009]

North America Mazda released their December 2009 US sales data.

In December 2009 1,622 Mazda5s were sold, down 43.8% from December 2008. The YTD sales were 16% lower than December of last year ( 18,488 vs. 22,021 )

For comparison 7,981 Mazda3s were sold in December.

Here's the data I have gathered from 2007 to the present.

They have to be available for people to buy them.

They are available are they not? I'm surprised the Canadian 5 ads have not resulting in a spike in sales.

Not sure about right now, but in August, when I bought mine, there were only 5 on the lots in a 200 mile radius, which includes Chicago, St Louis, and Indianapolis. They were going as fast as the dealers were getting them in.

When I bought mine there were plenty of sport models available but only one GT in all a 200 mile radius.
