Dealer rip off add ons

So I took my car in for regular service yesterday and waited for it to get worked on. They had a Mazda 3 in the showroom with some dealer installed crap, which included:

A "body kit" for a mere $1200, that consisted of just side skirts, and a "Satin finish fuel door" for just $400. I can't believe the mark up for the crap they were putting on the car. They were charging another $700 because they painted some small interior trim pieces too. They were also charging $2000 for 17" rims, at least those had Toyo Proxes on them (which that isn't a bad price, except for the fact that there is no credit for the stock rims/tires that aren't inlcuded). Do all the dealers get this stupid for putting other parts on the cars?

the mazda store i used to work at has a $1800 security adendum...which is basically paying $1800 for nothing. it's a rip off.

i get mazda parts for 10% over cost...so if there's something you want, let me know.

Well, they tried me to get Underbody Rust Protection before having the car which started a long debate.

They wanted me to pay for the etching of the VIN number on all the windows. Um, no, gunna pass on that too.

When I bought my P5, there were several that they had sent off to have some graphics painted on. I asked why the painter had not extended the graphics and paint color changes on to the door jambs and inside the gas door area. The salesman was like clueless. Like PT Barnum said, suckers born every minute.
