did anyone have any problems installing these lights?
im having a horrible time trying to get those lights to stay in the housing..
am i supposed to use the H7 spacer? or does the light just slip in... and the metal clip over that, and thats it?

Just slip the bulb in and put the clip over it. Mine were actually harder to get the clip on than with halogen bulbs.

First of all, thank you Matt V and everyone on this thread. You have all been very helpful. I'm about to purchase the Raptor HID Kit from DDM tuning as well as the Relay Harness.

On DDM's site, Do I need to purchase the HID Harness (or does the relay harness take care of this)? Also, do I need the mounting brackets?

I don't see a need for the HID harness. I don't even have a relay harness, but it's a great precaution to have.

Just an update on whomever wants an HID kit from DDM Tuning. I received this e-mail from them after I placed an order on 2/12 - and there wasn't any notice on the Web site that the Raptor kits are on back-order:

Update: Ordered on 2/12. Received my 4500K kit on 3/8. Did anyone else who ordered the Apexcone kit get slim ballasts? I got slim ballasts for some reason. I called and left a VM and e-mailed them a couple weeks back requesting to cancel my Apexcone order so I could get the kit with the slim ballasts. I never received a call back or an e-mail response, but I get slim ballasts? Hmmm...

I did the battery harness because our car's wiring is so small. Easy to add and 15.00 for wiring insurance is worth it. Never had any issues with them, knock on wood.

Buy from the retrofit source! I bought the ddm Tuning ballast and they wouldn't even turn on! I'm going throught the so called warranty process and they still haven't replied emailed or called back, it's been over a month!! Matt at TRS will take care of you and will make sure you get the best quality that you can get!!!
