hid kit

On topic i ordered my second set of these last week to outfit another car for the in-law. He wanted bright so I will see how bright the 55w kit is. For the price you can not beat it, until a do a retro.

that is a nice to have.... I have done it both times personally but hare seen it done without and works fine.

i just ordered a set of black and chrome aftermarket sedan headlight housings from ebay and a 35w 5000k H4 (not the hi/low) hid kit from ddm can't wait to hook it up and be allowed to legally drive at night again lol.

how does a hi lo kit work? do i have to buy different ballasts or just bulbs? because i have one burnt out regular h4 and i wanna replace em with hi lo's. anyone wanna post pics of their hi lo setup so i can understand?

the high lows are one ballast and one bulb with dual filaments. I can have pics of a 9007 setup next weekend.

from the website it looks as if it is a solenoid. the only other option is a halogen high beam. and btw there are no such things as filaments when it comes to hids. they are arcs. there can really only be one arc per bulb

so not sure if I did something wrong but I bought the h4 lowbeam kit and tried plugging it into my p5's headlight socket on the passenger side and turned my lights on and it didn't turn on.. do i need to plug them both in? or do i need to do something extra to make it work?

i also noticed that one of the ballasts is kind of loose if i shake the light bulb it wobbles a little but the other one doesn't it is rock solid

h4 is the incorrent size for the p5. and no im only running one currently. send it back for a new one and get h7 bulbs.

bout to get them 55W ballasts for my retros!! and then use my spare 35W ballasts for my fogs :) yea for overkill!

but i has retros so i wont be blinding anyone

project mx the problem is probably the fact that you are not plugging the two wires into the correct slots in the wire adaptor. or the thing you plugged your previous bulbs into. try every combination until it works...
