CX5 - 2013 - Monitor won't turn on

Hello,

The monitor suddenly stopped displaying info. Audio/CD/Bluetooth all work fine, however the screen displays dark blue color.

I was suggested to reset its settings by pressing MUTE, NAV, and BACK buttons for 10 seconds. But I do not have the MUTE and the BACK buttons. I have a 2013 CX5, Grand Touring.

Can you please advise?
Thanks

You can try the battery-discount “reset”, remove the negative terminal for a couple of minutes and re-connect it. Honestly I believe your video driver module (hardware) could have failed, and you need to get a new one or a used one to resolve the issue.

Unfortunately the video driver is within the audio unit with the screen. Looks like you have to get the entire unit, part no.: KJ01-66-DV0C, which will be very expensive. A used unit is a better option, unless you can find someone who can do component level repair.

Another option is to get a double-DIN sized aftermarket infotainment unit with a screen.
