Hi

I am planning to buy CX 9 GT model. May I ask forum members to advise on CX 9's fuel consumption details. I have checked many sites and most of it shows 15-18 MPG's. Would like to know what is practical.

Thanks a ton

Vic

It depends on the lengths of trips, and your driving styles.
EPA numbers are as objective as it gets to compare among vehicles.

Only had 4 fill ups on my 2012 GT AWD ... in mixed driving (about 50/50) right above 18 mpg - hand calculated.

2012 GT with 6,000 miles. 18-19 in suburban commuting and 21-22 on freeway trips at about 10% over posted speeds. This is with the A/C in operation most of the time. I have just changed the original oil to Mobil 1 and expect this to improve. Generally, my experience with multiple vehicles is the EPA numbers quite indicative of what to expect IF you have the ability/disapline to drive sensibly with regard to mileage.

All figures quoted above are more or less the same as given on www.fuelly.com. Your information has reconfirmed this fact.

I have spoken to many people and I found that all statements given above, are very much valid that fuel efficiency is subjective to individual driving habits, irrespective of vehicle brand.

Thanks to all of you

After 10,000kms (6213.712miles) my avg fuel consumption is 17.7L/100kms (13.29mpg) mostly stop-start city traffic

2011 FWD Touring: High 15's, sometimes low to mid 16mpg's with daily 14 mile round trip commutes, 50% stop and go, 50% highway. 21-22mpg on road trips. Only has 11k miles on it, so it's not broken in yet :D

2011 AWD here. i get 17.5 avg in city, and about 20-21 freeway usually doing about 80. if i keep my foot out of it on the freeway i usually get about 23 or so
