There is nothing Aftermarket about this car. It took 6 months to put together.

yeah wow, thats a sweet setup, i never would have thought to run the turbo like that, nice looking mani, good work man, what kinda intercooler you runnin???

I am running the sds eic on my car to control the additional injectors aswell....how do u like it? and do u have to adjust it everytime u adjust the level of boost? or how does taht work? and where abouts are your two knobs on it set at....u can check out pics of my car by clickin on my sig..

I'll explain how it works, you'll see why you can set it and forget it.
It recieves a manifold Pressure line and a Tach signal. You Have a Threshold and a gain knob. The Threshold is where the system starts to come on. The Gain is how much the injectors come on based on your boost. Because the system is used only to compensate for the extra air that the turbo is craming into your engine, the stock injectors, MAFS, and O2 Sensors do what they were made to do. Maintain Stoych Balance. Please get a Air/Fuel and Boost set up as a minimum. You Need the A/F to set the system. If you hammer the throttle and you go lean, that tells you that the EIC isn't dumping enough fuel and the stock injectors are on full duty pulse. If it goes Rich and stays there. The EIC is on too much and the stock injectors are completely off. As long and the A/F still bounces back and forth like it does at an idol it's set well. I like to keep it just below the point where the stock injectors are off. That way, if there is a problem with a leaning out of fuel, the stock injectors are only running at like 5% and have alot of headroom to compensate. When I come onto the boost controler...because the EIC is hooked to your pressure signal. It sees the boost and the injector pulse length automatically rises. It's seemless once it's set. Please note, the 2.0 L ECU will hold rich past 130Km/h stock. If that happens it does not mean the EIC is ******. It's normal and supposed to do that. Later...Brian

It's Supposed to be for a Silvia. 2 Inch In and 2.5 inch out.

The Garrett is 2" and the manifold is 2.5 Inch so I didn't need a stepper pipe.

It's a little big for the application but I'm the king of overkill. I don't wan't detonation. Later...Brian

So what were YOUR dyno numbers - we don't care what it did to a JETTA ;)

:D

Additional injectors and 12 pounds of boost? I hope you have money saved for new pistons, should you melt one...also tranny $$. :)

Nice work, however...everything looks first-rate.

very interesting setup, looks cool.

i would think 12psi on a t25 would be safe with propper fuel mgmt.

that's rod-bending territory...but I'm concerned as to what happens at that PSI to the fuel from the injectors - it tends to be blown back to the back of the IM, causing the cyl. closest to the TB to run lean.

Be careful

Why haven't you had problems of the ECU pulling fuel? Mani isn't equall length is it? Since the pipes are longer between the block and the mani do you have lag problems?

The pistons are forged and were made with a cavity to bring the N/A compression to 8.8:1 It should last a very long time, and if it dosn't I'll just get pieces replaced as they break. It wasn't exactly cheap to design and build a custom turbo, so why start being cheap now. With a dual stage turbo controler, I run usualy 6 Psi on low and rarely have to use the 12 Setting. This is the only Turbo'ed car in this area aside from my friends Jetta. Not to many people do much more than Manifold/Cat-back/Body Kit here. As I said before. I Did this for then enjoyment of driving the car, not to beat 911's. I would have started with a faster car rather than granny's grocery getter.

DAMN, that thing is a monster to behold. It looks unique to say the very least, but it looks like its ready to handle about anything you throw its way. The Tranny has got to be beggin for mercy some days!!!

When I first bought the car I was really happy with the gear ratios. The first gear is too short now. I launch in second because of it. If it busts I plan to bebuild it. Has anyone ever attempted it? or swapped for a Probe Tranny?

I doubt you'd see much if any relief using a probe transmission - if it'd even bolt up. Perhaps an MX3?
