BlackMSP said:Hmmm does that include downpipes? Will that system work for the MSP? Also does the mp3 have 2 cats like the MSP? Did you replace your cat with a high flow cat (becuase I do see one cat on the system..). Thanks let me know =D

Where in Trenton? Whats the name of the guy/number for his shop? (I assume its a muffler place). I live only 10 minutes from trenton ... and I have an MSP ... Hook me up with da info!
Also, can you send me the movs? I may have a place to host them ...

That they do.
But unless I had 300hp, it wouldn't be an issue.
Besides, my downpipe is only 2.25"...

Dosn't really matter how much HP you are making. 3" exhaust always makes a differnce in turbo cars.
I wouldn't recomend a 3" down pipe on the stock Spool turbo. With 3" down pipe you run a greater risk of blowing the seals in the turbo. Burning it up. I've seen it happen on a DRAG GEN II turbo kit!![]()

I disagree, but if you have prove to back up your statement, I'd love to take a look.
Well, for starters a 3" downpipe won't fit in a spool kit. A 2.25" barely fits. Care to explain why it would burn up the seals??

raz,
didnt we discuss this smoking crack problem of yours already(hehe)
listen up closely and put down that spoon.........
YES YOU WANT A BIGGER PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL IN THE SYSTEM((( in other words, the ratio between the turbine inlet and the downpipe )))
BUT IF YOU ARE RUNNING A T3 LIKE THE ONE FROM SPOOLIN YOU WONT SEE A POWER INCREASE WITH ANYTHING LARGER THAN 2.5
THE TURBO DOES NOT FLOW THAT MUCH AIR. LET ME SAY IT THIS WAY THE KIT NOR THE ENGINE, HEAD ,INDUCTION, ETC, DOES NOT PRODUCE THE CFM OF AIRFLOW NEEDED TO JUSTIFY THAT DIAMETER EXHAUST. SECONDLY THE TURBOCHARGER OIL SEALS WILL NOT BLOW BECAUSE OF HAVING A LARGER DIAMETER EXHAUST. THE HONDA GUYS MUST HAVE DRUGGED YOU OR SOMETHING ALL THOSE YEARS. INERTIAL LOAD AND EXCESSIVE OIL PRESSURE CAN CAUSE FAILURE FOR THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING THE SEALS.
AND I WONT GET INTO THE COMMENT YOU MADE IN THE NITROUS THREAD HERE![]()
like i said in the other thread YOU are missing my point. you are picking things apart instead of reading the ENTIRE post. im not trying to put you down but you are jumping from one subject to another without clarifying yourself first.RAAZ227 said:
YEA that's some good crack son! Chill out a little. I know your the informative around here. MY BAD. It's hard for someone else to recomend something, uh. I have worked with a lot of tuners up the east coast. And, WE HAVE PROVEN A 3" EXHAUST PRODUCES MORE HP! Even on a freakin SAAB! So I'm expressing some of my experience. That's what I have seen....umm, k

hp will increase in the higher rpm limits of the engine. that HP has been there all long. you are NOT creating it. you are allowing more flow capacty into the system. but alot of that HP comes at a price . it will effect your overall torque curve. you are the one that needs to chill. whenever i see something that is posted i will add my 2 cents and try to correct the info. we are supposed to work together so everyone can have the right info. not just opinions but fact also.![]()
i also learn from this board and many others all the time so try and take things with a grain of salt and be a little more open minded.![]()
