Yah, they say your supposed to change the water pump as well when you change the timing belt(dunno)

edit: this is generally speaking and for most 4 bangers that i've had to install a timingbelt on.

The reason why they say that is that its no more money on the bill time wise. Beings that you have everything apart might as well change it it out. That away you don't have to go though the entire process of stripping everything down to replace a pump 5k miles later.

Nice set up ,hows the lag with the turbo mounted so far away . It must be a beast when the boost does hit
Thanks :)
Not problems so far running 15 pounds. FYI the high pressure side piping is a little less than four feet in over all length because is pretty much a straight shot form the turbo to the TB.

Forgot to mention I did have one problem from the high G corners oil was blowing out the breather filter I have on the side of the oil sump/tank so I'll have to make a breather can off to the side. From data logs oil never got above 200F but never ran the car for more then 20 minutes.

Definitely not sr20, totally wrong valve cover. Looks to me we have a boosted KA!
the KAs can handle the boost though so he is looking good, i have a 90 240 fastback with KA if anybody is interested. It needs paint, interior is great.

KAs can handle boost? That's a ******* lie if I ever heard one.

never seen any of the ones around here with any problems, but i don't hang onto thier forums or anything so i can be mistaken, but from what I gathered they do just fine.

I'm pretty sure a guy in my car club back at school pushed a stock KA motor over 300whp. He blew the block eventually - he just wanted to test how far it would go.

They handle boost quite well, the stock pistons just don't handle detonation well if at all. The reason most people blow up turbo'ed ka's is lack of tuning and/or timing control. If am not mistaken the world's fastest 4cyl S-Chassis is powered by a Ka to the tune of 9.15 in the quarter mile.

::Edit, I am mistaken Mazworks just ran a 9.05 with their SR20, fook!!

I am glad I got some back up on this, cause I hate to ****** lie and everything. I heard the KAs do well, as well as the FSDE due to the long stroke being the poor part, and look how well the FSDET does. lol
