congrats on the car man....i alwas have tons of respect for the dodge srt4 platform..either be neon or caliber..the engine and tranny are built strongly. Yeah you get cheaper interior parts and couple other things..but you get good performance....looking over a few spec sheets and driver tests..here is the meat&potatoes of the caliber-srt4
weight 3248lb
horsepower 285@5700 rpm
torque 265@ 2000 rpm
0-60 5.8-6.2
1/4 mile 13.8-14.6 *driver mod*
so stock wise i would say its pretty evenly matched with the ms3. With a slight advantage going towards the 3, the gear ratio and driver would prabaly decide that race. But in terms of modding for power oh yeah....that caliber kicks some booty.. Pt performance is right up the road from me and they got a 600 hp that runs really well..and anyone whos been in the car tuner world for longer than a day knows that neon srt4's with 400-500 whp on stock blocks drive all day long and run and run and run. I would not feel that comfortable with that power on a stock ms3 engine..actrully would feel like im driving a ticking time bomb all the time lol..but then again 300@ the wheels for a fwd daily driver is good for me right now..as for looks..i prefer the speed..but think the caliber looks mean

and i think we can all agree that interior quality is better in the speed. But once again great car for the money and im sure your gonna have tons of fun in it. And its got some potential thats for sure (2thumbs)
