Cranking issues

My car is having issues starting. All the lights will come on but it will not start when i crank it. I have noticed when i turn my air conditioner off it will start. It just starting doing this. I cranked it three times then turned off my air conditioner and it cranked. Any ideas?

Maybe a lowish battery.

By turning off the air your allowing more cranking amps. I would have ur battery tested, not sure where you live but most places test em for free (auto zone pep boys ext)

if the car is tumbling (hearing engine turn) there there maybe an ingition problem.

Also, first try cleaning and tightening your battery terminals. Amazing how often that can do this.

Someone told me to try and put water in the battery to see if that helps. they looked at it and said the cells were low on water. Would this help?

Just get a new battery, but if you do add water do not put tap water in it you need distilled water.

Add distilld water but the battery is almost toast.
