Cp-e doesn't own the forum, but they pay for thier section. He did make his logs with their equipment-which he then says is junk also..
That's the issue with the internet, not everythings public and their is a great deal of context that is lost when people post little random quotes. Words are easy to twist to defend you position, whatever it may be. The fact is that laloosh's complaint was that cp-e didn't agree with him. It had nothing to do with any of cp-e's products. They hurt his pride..
It's pretty easy to determint the intent of this thread though--That's the only reason I even posted in here.. I will continue to give my money to whatever vendor makes to better product, regardless of the drama of the
monent..
I've never actually had to throw someoneout , but I've had tro ask more than a couple to leave. We did have to pull the gun on a bum with a machete once though(eek2)

You would be surprised of my capabilities... Ive had many successes in the hotrod community. What is sad is how the import scene acts, especially since youre dealing with kids 90% of the time. What colour is your cheerleading outfit bud?

If your selling the same thing for less money you'd probably sell a few. But I remember mrlilguy's orginal 300% markup so you probably would have been more expensive than PG anyway..
Your statement after your question answered the question or am I missing something. The mods and the administrator banned him because CPE asked them to. I think the administrator knows he made a bit of a mistake by reinstating him one day later.
Meanwhile, with laloosh back, the fallout remains and the microscope has been turned on CPE. They seem like decent guys, but their business practices are whats being discussed here.
How can you not see this?
If Ken had a prominent dude banned on his section it would cause a similar fallout. hell, Kens section IS his complaint section. And he lets it sit as the situations are remedied. Threads are rarely locked that Ive seen and Ive NEVER seen a guy banned unless I missed it. The think the idea is ludicrous.

I guess I don't see it as an iron fist because if misinformation was being spread...especially about that company, then its not helping anyone. I only read into CPE's words asking for more data from laloosh as saying "hey...we got different numbers...can we see more data so we can see why they may have been different?" That was for some reason taken personally and then this whole thing got blown up.
A question I have is why are people blaming CPE for banning laloosh? CPE asked laloosh to not be able to post in their section -- not to be banned from the forums. the mods are the ones that banned him...well I guess the admin according to cosmic. Shouldn't this qualm be taken up with the admin?

I too was hesitant about getting into the import community because of it being kids...granted from the polls (which we know are so accurate lol) show most people are older :-\ Congrats on your successes in the hot rod community. Maybe you can have the same in the import community.

mrlilguy lied to Ken about having all kinds of support from autotech about the pump. He convinced Ken to buy pumps b/c of his "close relationship" with autotech. Autotech came on and put things right and Ken came out the wiser. Props to Jonathan for sourcing the solution but if he really had the community's interest at heart, he could have just said, "buy these internals for $350 here and do it yourself." He didn't. He got Ken to buy the internals at full retail and try to mark them up from that and sell them. well... CPE wanting him to stop posting in their sections was reasonable I think. just like mazdaspeed33 kept posting crap about **********, he was warnd to stop, he did (as far as I know) Laloosh was warned...
CPE may be a paying sponsor, but the mods are the ones who decide to ban someone...cpe asked for him to not be able to post in their section because they felt he was spreading misinformation, instead the admin decided to ban him.
This thread is turning personal for some other people so i too am out of it...I have some good friends on the boards But i have been growing tired of all the personal attacks people like to make when they can sit behind a keyboard :-\ Especially when we're all on the same side...we want products for our car. I hate to see all these people threating CPE when CPE does so much for our community...If they were truely a bad company i wouldn't stand behind them...but I have yet to see them do anything evil like you all seem to think.

Anybody who followed that thread could "read between the lines" and knew EXACTLY why that price dropped. Im glad I heard you confirm it though.... Cashmere among others has used that story as his prime example of how unethical, and what a ripoff, PG is.....
I think CPE is good guys. I kind of compare them to mrlilguy though. I dont think they understand the business aspect of this scene. Its a little over their head right now. Their products are good, and they fill a need.... I just think they need a publicist and a little business counseling.
Ultimately ..is what they did to Laloosh that big a deal? No.. in the sit around the campfire, I dont wanna talk to you way..... And YES, in the we want to play with the big boys in the hottest current tuner car way. They lobbed a bomb into the place we all congregate when were not driving or "under" our car.

I'm a big boy though. I can make my own decisions on who to buy from. I keep my experience one on one with companies. So far, CP-E has been nothing but nice to me. Protege Garage was also very nice to me, even if our deal didn't work out.

Laloosh: excellent times! They are amazing *especially* considering you were on snow tires! It would've been interesting to see your times on real tires. It sounds like the pump is amazing, but definitely not a miracle upgrade 
I'm honestly not sure why you are bringing any issue you have with CP-e to this forum. If you had/have an issue with them that you wanted resolved, you would've contacted Jordan/Josh and worked it out. If you wanted to make a big deal about the whole thing and gain publicity (to "knock CP-e down a notch" or any other reason, then I'm assuming that is why you created this thread. I think it really just shows that you were looking for more than "to resolve the issue at hand".
(As an aside, it would be interesting to see ages of all of the people whining in this thread.)
