Couple issues...

So, I've got two issues I've noticed recently with my MSP. One is that when I get to around 4K rpms I notice a loud metal rattling sound. From doing some searching it looks like this may be related to the heat shield. I haven't checked it yet but will do that in the near future.

The other issue that I'm having is that I'm having a problem boosting in 3rd, 4th or 5th gears. I don't seem to have a problem in 1st or 2nd, but when I step on the gas in third and get to a point where its about to boost, the car kind of slams to a slight halt and then continues on normally without boosting. Sometimes it may hesitate and then boost a little and then hesitate again and then continue on without boosting. Its a little hard to describe. I was thinking maybe a vacuum leak of some sort? Or maybe detonation? It's strange because 1st and 2nd have no problems.

Any ideas on either of these?

Well, according to neox.286 it could be the wastegate. I thought about that too. Guess I'll have to play around with it.

do you have an after market exhaust if so, you need to exhaust hangars and that will help out the rattling sound your getting.

Where in the Baltimore area are you ? I've seen a Titanium a few times on 70 near 695.

Should have mentioned that there are no aftermarket mods on the car. It's bone stock.

I live over in Middle River. Probably wasn't me that you saw, I don't ever drive on 70.
