Burn! "you got F'd in the A!" ~~ Cartman~southpark

yeah, I think there is finally an option for those people who wish to persue an NA build but decide later that more power requires FI I'll set them up!

I don't understand why anybody says it is costly to do a N/A build up. For the cost of a turbo kit and install it would be right around $4100. It is costing me my right about $4300 to do a all motor build. That is the cost of everything in my signature plus the cost of headwork and bottom end rebuild. And the turbo kit will give about 170whp, the N/A build up I am doing will be around the same HP. I will be glad to show the dyno sheet when I get done with everything.

Awesome, I can't wait.....

No, No!! I must not give in to the darkside. I must stay the path of the righteous N/A Jedi.

I wont say it cant be done for this amount of money, but I will say that you would have to do most of the work yourself. I almost spent more than that on my headwork/cams alone. But I look forward to seeing what the end result is. Keep us informed.

I don't have $5K laying around but I may donate a complete supercharger kit to ya when you get done playing around with NA....won't have to change anything but your header! Make a LOT of power my friend.... (angel)

haha, I may take you up on that Matt. By the end of this year, I will know what this car is going to do in its current form. If Im not happy with the power I get out of it then, I will be giving you a ring.

Or I will just give up on this car and go buy the damn 350z that I wanted in the first place! :)

hahaha, if you take your Paeco engine and put my blower on it...you won't remember who even makes the 350z. I'll give you as much power as you've got $$$ and fuel for!

Ok, But to put $4000.00 on a NA motor might get you a gain of at most 40WHP. A similar costing Turbo will get you a gain of as much as 100+ WHP...

turbo install for 170whp for me = $1800-2400

$4100 for the MAM thumper kit, which may be an option for me soon.

Dude, you make an angry AND redundant statement. He just got done correcting me, saying that 'we were talking about the FS.' Then you say the same thing and tell him to shut the **** up.......and just to keep my post from being a complete threadjack, here's what a serious NA build costs. And yes, it's for the BP, and yes it's relevant. Parts are parts.

my point was

yes he was talking about the FS, was he comparing the cost of a turbo build to a n/a build as the original topic states? no he was bitching about bad of a motor the fs is which is a moot point considering thats what i have and im modyifying, sorry if i was totally clear on that.

Dude...no...this is what I was stating earlier...I gained 90whp, for around 3 grand...NA...including a standalone (well soon to be)...You put 4 grand into the FS with well planned mods, including piping diameters for the exhaust and a decent standalone, you will see A LOT more than 40whp...

Andy has at least 140whp with bolt-ons and a small amount of pnp work...he did not spend 4 grand...and he gained 40whp...His 170whp goal will easily be had with $4k...

I am not trying to attack you...just clearing up these myths that appear as if you need 40,000 dollars to squeeze 6 hp out of the FS if you are staying NA...

Why is it you get to recommend something and I don't? btw, Eddie's doing IRTBs, are you going to tell people not to listen to him, or act like it's not a kick-ass set-up?

You know "10x more than me" Great buddy. Usually the ones who claim to know don't know a god damn thing. Yeah, I know what eddie's doing, thanks for the update slugger. Don't contribute anything? Your right, I stopped, but do you know why? Because I get flooded with PM's. Which is fine, I answer all of them, but after awhile, it gets to be a bit much. My whole kick about your car is that you constantly stick in to let everyone know how much better the BP is..or this..or that..Who cares. Irrelevant to the max. Popular? whatever. A lot of people don't like me, which is fine. I don't really care either. The day you've spent the money and the time I have on our motors, I'll listen. Until then, shut the **** up and stop ridiculing others about a motor you don't even own. Go spray, Go boost, Go N/A? DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. It's all great ways to spend money and have fun! I love all forms of tuning. It's fun, thats the point! What I don't like are canadian asshats scrutinizes others just because your ******* protege is the pinnacle of N/A technology. I don't care. Neither does anyone else. No one cares about the DX and I don't even try to brag about it. This thread sucks. I'm over it.

as a side note, I never claimed to know anything. Nor have I ever bragged. Frankly I have no room to brag with all the problems I've had. But don't you ******* dare ever try to talk down to me with your bulls*** attitude and your burt reynolds dick broom. I don't tolerate asshats in reality, nor do I tolerate s*** head protege owners on a ******* bad forum. Have you ever torn down an FS-DE? Have you EVER owned a fast N/A automobile? 15.48 IS NOT A FAST TIME. I got my start on a 6.6L '78 Trans-am. I've been hooked since I was 8. But no, your sitting there with your 1st gen ripping apart everyone who says anything contrary to your all ******* knowing mantra. Let me know when you actually do an internal N/A mod and not some bulls*** ignition advance or a larger MAF..Spare me. Take your bulls*** attitude back to clubprotege.
