I just love the general aspect of N/A building. it seems more pure than f/i, less like cheating, you know.. in a game i can become invincable by initiating a cheat program, or i could play the game, and learn from my mistakes. i risk dying of course, but the knowledge i gain on the way is far more plyable than that of a hacked program...

how is my bolt on turbocharger cheating anymore than your bolt on header? both increase air flow through the motor resulting in more horsepower. there is no cheating in the horsepower game, run what ya brung, if ya get your ass kicked step up and say good run and shake your opponents hand. the art of sportsmanship is lost on the racing crowd unfortunately.

I found a picture of you guys discussing the topic:

Are you seriously gonna cry over this?

Why is it you get to recommend something and I don't? btw, Eddie's doing IRTBs, are you going to tell people not to listen to him, or act like it's not a kick-ass set-up?

I thinking highly of the BP too. We were talking about the FS (which is crap).

we were talking about the FS, which is the motor i have, we werent discussing whether it is a good motor or not. are you done whoring my thread yet? possibly? no? ok, i'll just sit back and tell you to shut the **** up cuz i dont care under my breath.

No dude...You were saying a 3k in turbo stuff would get you way more hp...I was saying it wouldn't get you way more hp, if you know what you are doing with NA...a 3k turbo setup will get you way more midrange torque though...thats inevitable, thats what my post was referring to...

Ok, Parhaps I should rephrase and say "Gains" in general///

Well, if nothing else, this thread has got the N/A forum talking about something. And thats a good thing. There are too many days that go by that nothing is posted in this forum. Even if we are argueing a bit, thats ok. Everyone in here is here to make more power out of their protege, so discussion like this is good, as long as we dont get too many "you sucK! My car is better than your car" posts. As for Kyle and Josh, they just dont get along, so you two scrapping is no big surprise. :)

So now lets get back on topic - who here is going to donate 5 grand to the "Make Scorch70 the fastest NA protege in the land" fund?

haha

/threadjacking

i love both FI and N/A, but N/A is a bit more affordable to the tight budget man, ill get a turbo kit someday, when i can afford the 5k its going to take to make it solid.

pseudo bud i hear ya when ya say that, oh but how i would love to booost....and holy crap brian ur all over the boards this morning eh

Dude, you make an angry AND redundant statement. He just got done correcting me, saying that 'we were talking about the FS.' Then you say the same thing and tell him to shut the **** up.......and just to keep my post from being a complete threadjack, here's what a serious NA build costs. And yes, it's for the BP, and yes it's relevant. Parts are parts.

brians a cheater !!
lol j/k

I don't understand why anybody says it is costly to do a N/A build up. For the cost of a turbo kit and install it would be right around $4100. It is costing me my right about $4300 to do a all motor build. That is the cost of everything in my signature plus the cost of headwork and bottom end rebuild. And the turbo kit will give about 170whp, the N/A build up I am doing will be around the same HP. I will be glad to show the dyno sheet when I get done with everything.

I don't have $5K laying around but I may donate a complete supercharger kit to ya when you get done playing around with NA....won't have to change anything but your header! Make a LOT of power my friend.... (angel)

I think that if someone made a decent intake manifols (WITH TUNED RUNNERS) for the FS, as well as some realistic cams, and an ECU upgrade that works, the engine would be a little head work away from being decently powerful. Even with stock compression (though custom pistons in the 10.5:1 range would help).

I know this is alot, but it is realistic.

well it's a good thing I have nothing to do between classes right now because the only thing I have learned is that corwin has sand in his vagina(call me by the way(wink) lol). How foolish of me clicking on this thread awaiting to hear something useful.
