Corrugated EGR tubing?

tip for whoever attempts this... make sure the tubing isn't touching anything... i didn't notice it was touching my engine harness... and now it's kinda burnt (some wires are exposed)... Lucky me the car still runs... Unlucky me im in the market for a new engine harness

i'm kinda curious if this is reason my fuse for cluster keeps blowing???? every since i put the hosing in the fuse has been blowing. i thought i fixed it today but i didn't. maybe this is why????i know it's touching contacting the block

edit: i just found 4-5 wires melted. they connect to transmission. looks to maybe be ground for speed sensor etc. hopefully i can fix them tonight and fix my problem.
-fixed the wires and routed tubing..thinking about getting some heat wrap and doubling up to prevent this again!

yup.... very tricky stuff.... i gotta cut and rewire some wires to make sure the connections are good... burnt a total of 6 wires, 4 which definently need repair. some heat wrap is a good idea.

Sub for possible use with 505zoom's intake manifold. I'm glad I finally found/was directed to this thread. So just to ask the same question everyone has been asking: have these been holding up well over time? Looks like I might have to hit up and Home Depot here soon...

How much of a pain was it to remove the egr tube from the car? Can it be done while the intake manifold is in the car? I really don't want to pull it off.

Also what length is good to run? 48" is to much, so is whats a good length where you won't have to much extra?

looking at doing this with the install of a intake manifold spacer. I have feelings the EGR pipe wont meet up to the EGR bung on the headers I have, so to make the installation easier...I might as well go with a flexible gas line.

there's the exact home depot part# in one of the first couple pages. It comes with the fittings needed

Bump!. I'm gonna try to go with the 3/8" instead of the 1/2" piping. We'll see how it goes.
