I had my water pump replaced recently and everytime i drive my coolant reservoir tank heats up and steam comes out as well as coolant all over my intercooler pipes leaking from the cap of reservoir. I tried burping the system already i just need to know if it sounds like its the headgasket. I dnt have white smoke and my oil is clean.

Blown HG will push gasses into your cooling system that burp out and heat up the tank. Go buy a cooling system exhaust gas tester and follow the instructions.

Yeah that was my next step to buy the block tester i wanted to do a hydrocarbon test on the tank but I havent had a chance to go to a place that tests emissions. Besides the car spitting all the coolant out and the usual milking of the oil what about shakiness during idle? Could that be a sign as well? It never shook like that before only with the air conditioning on

No not really considering ive blown about 100 bucks on coolant spoonfeeding her every day. It only overheated when the water pump broke leaking the coolant all over the floor and after it was replaced when i got home. The thermostat was replaced less than a year ago. After i drive it the bottom rad hose is hot so i kinda ruled that out already

cooling system. i guess i would pressure test the system and see if anything strange happens. if not then i would still just check the thermostat and see if it is possibly faulty. maybe not opening fully.

My car has been doing this all summer, mishimoto rad, slim fans, new coolant, water pump and thermostat less than 2 years old. Still need to try the stock 16lb. cap to see if it fixes it.

Yeah man it sucks my coolant tank is getting all expanded and deformed from all the steam i heard those fans are legit mine are crappy so i might have to invest new ones. My car has bad luck i rarely use my ac nd when i do i always run into a cooling system problem

The exhaust gas cooling system test is cheap at an auto parts store. It's DIY not something to go get done.
