Coolant line install for the Garrett GT Turbos

is water cooling the turbo absolutely necessary?

sorry for the newb question but im new to turbo

i just ordered those banjo fittings from ATP...
so i guess i need to get 18" of Hi-Temp steel braided teflon lines x2
get 3/8 in hose barbs crimped to the teflon lines
plus 2" of 5/16 fuel lines
and disconnect the coolant lines from the throttle body and hook it up to the barbed ends on the teflon lines
correct???

what about the holes where the coolant lines used to hook up to the throttle body? any hi-temp teflon tape needed when screwing in the banjo fittings to the turbo? could you just t-off the lines going to the throttle body?

never mind... i think i can figure it out...
got my banjo bolts today... hope i don't run into the same problem as mspeedp5 with the shop not having the proper crimping tools...but doubt they wont have it.

now i just gotta wait to get the rest of the part and till i have time to install and check if the banjo bolt even fits in my turbo

easy install... hardest parts was getting the 5/16" lines over the 3/8" barbs... had to heat them up and stretch them a little to get them on...

not sure why its suggest to get 3/8" barbs crimped to the lines when the stock coolant lines are 5/16"...

all in all thanks for making this info available

ok so this has always been very confusing for me, i have the stock t25 MSP turbo and the stock msp metal coolant lines...but not the hose, what dia. is the hose and where exactly do i hook it up?

i kno im supposed to do something with the throttlebody warmer but what do i do with the holes on the TB?

sell the metal lines.

Run custom stainless steal braided lines from the turbo drain to tapped oil pan.
Run custom stainless steel braided lines from turbo feed to oil sandwhich.

Be done. Easiest way

yea i was talking about the coolant lines actually....

i might do that with the turbo feed and drain, thanks for the idea anyways

but seriously can anybody help me with my predicament? i have the metal stock coolant lines, all i need to do is attach hose to the end of them, but which hoses and where do they go?

Oh, oops haha.

Then just do the coolant bypass and run it to the turbo. Don't even mess with the hard lines. Pain in the ass

To use the stock hardlines in their stock configuration you'll need a few more parts from the MSP. One line coonects to another hardline that taps into the back of the block just to the right and above the oil filter with another banjo fitting. The the other line attaches to the small silicone elbow right at the right front corner of the head. The MSP uses a special elbow with an extra nipple for that line to plug into.

Thank you. I have the stock hardlines, but then saw that it went to the back of the block and said no.

Just get the msp elbow and do the throttle body bypass. And be done with it

what if you have 2 feed lines going to the turbo?

im pretty sure that's what i did, im redoing them this weekend
