computer guru, i need help

k, well none of the pics that people post show on my pc, everything is a red x. avators work, but posted pics and sigs dont, and when i try to watch any of the movies that people post it says "unable to download appropriate decompressor" or some crap. anyone have an idea on how to fix any of this??

hmm...i dunno...do you use internet explorer or netscape? im not a guru or anything, but i know some stuff...might be able to help...

hmm...im not big into explorer...i use netscape most of the time...im gonna log onto the site in explorer and **** around a bit and see if i can mess it up to do the same thing...sorry i can't be of more help, but ill try...im bored anyways
but there has to be someone out there that knows whats wrong...

goto www.windowsupdate.com and get the latest updates for IE and MS Media Player

For the movies, it sounds like you need to download the correct codecs. Not sure why you can't see the pics...what browser and what version are you using?

is it only this site(shouldn't be) if it is...hmm. if not there are a couple of things..one is just go in IE Tool>Internet Options>Advancedl. Than scroll down to "Multimedia" and make sure your play video, play audio, and show pictures, play animation, and smart image dithering box are checked.

Or if you want a quick fix just go tools>internet options>advanced, than just hit "apply default settings" should fix your issue...let me know if it doesnt.
