Cocksport Exhaust

I may be removing it until some type of tuning is available. I had been attributing my mpg to my driving style and wheels (I had ruled out the intake), but the other day I replaced the stock exhaust and it seemed like it made a large difference in MPG. I only had it on for about an hour though, I'm gonna buy a new gasket and then put it back on for a while, and if it makes a big difference like I think I'm going to leave it off maybe put it back when tuning becomes available. Maybe it would work better on the 2.5 but idk I have a 2.0. In regards to exhaust tips that are welded on, I'm assuming people are removing (cutting the spot weld) the stock exhaust tip and putting the new one in it's place?
edit going to test the stock intake back on before I replace the exhaust since last time I was doing these tests it was not 50 deg but 80-100.

Eh, really it seesms less of an issue when cruising than when reving low rpm. Cruise control seemsto be fine.I rev higher atlowrpm anyway because of larger wheels. If I drivearound in cruise (which I don't like to do) I can get acceptable#'s

I can imagine how loud it sounds when warming up for the first 20-30 seconds.

What size tire are you running (i.e. 255/45/20)?

As someone who had the Corksport exhaust on my Skyactiv Mazda 3, it was quite obnoxious on cold start until it idled down. Other than that I loved it.

245/45/20, it's more the wheel than anything but it's a combination at low speed/rev

It's not the diameter of your 245/45/20 tires at 28.681" versus stock 19's at 28.744", you have a close match. Wheels must be heavy.

Regarding the CS exhaust, this is not the first time somebody installed the exhaust, then removed it later.
