Cobb Turbo Inlet on Stock Intake?

Can the Cobb turbo inlet be used with the stock intake system? I have a 2009 MS3.

I have been waiting to install a Cobb SRI with the Cobb turbo inlet, but the SRI's are still unavailable.

I don't see why not, aftermarket intakes fit on the stock inlet in the same spot, and the cobb is the same diameter connection.

No problem but why don't you just wait.

Just wait for the intake and do it and the inlet all at once. Makes the job easier because there's not much room with work with.

I did what you're thinking about doing, and I wish I had waited. There was a noticeable increase in turbo response, but doing it all at once makes more sense. But if you don't plan on getting a SRI any time soon then go for it.
