Cobb SRI questions

So I just found a great offer on a Cobb SRI. $95-second hand but never installed.

I had a couple of questions about it before I jump on it.

1) Is the HP gain noticable? I want a little extra kick in the pants when I put the gas down.

2) How will it effect my MPG? I average about 27 now. As I understand it an SRI should increase it a little? But I could be wrong.

3)Will this void my warranty?

4) This will be my first real mod...seems like a good place to start?

Thanks

1) yes...any change from the stock air box should bring more power. all the air going in through the stock box has to go in through a hole as big as a gatorade mouth

2)it's relative to how much more you're going to be smashing the pedal to the floor because of your new found power

3)technically yes if a problem occurs that would relate directly to the intake....but most would say this is the easiest mod to put on and take off anyway so just take it off before you go to the dealer

4)awesome place to start i'd say....and that price is F-ing outstanding! just make sure the person selling it has all the equipment that comes with it

ask you dealer mine says intake and exhaust are ok. he said i could probably get away with a top mount, but no downpipe or BPV

Great mod. I have it and am in love with it. I have heard issues arising as far as air-fuel ratios but have never really experienced the problem myself.

And thats a hell of a price. I personally would jump on it without even thinking twice. As long as its in good cond.

Lets pretend I have self control :D and don't stomp on the gas anymore then I already do. Would my mpgs go up, down, or stay the same?

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Lets hope the guy hasn't sold it yet.

BTW nice sig about the hondas!

Damn! I finally reached the guy yesterday. He sold it! Damn damn damn!
Guess I will have to search for another one at a good price. Maybe a GB on these?

I've read that the CP-E SRI is good, too. Curious as to why you picked the Cobb SRI? Asking because I will be buying one of the two in the near future probably.

I was gonna go with the cobb because it seems to be a good bang for the buck. Also i didn't know CP-E made one.

CPE Xcel NANO Short Ram Intake - $199.50 shipped from a certain vendor on line (you can Google it). Seems to get favorable reviews from Speed3 owners from what I've read.
